Mirror Pond

One of the Oshino Hakkai, which was also called Konoshiro Pond in the old days. It is an elongated pond with an area of 144 square meters and a depth of 30cm, with a small amount of water, but a pond that sometimes shows a beautiful upside-down Fuji like a mirror on the water surface. It is said that the water in the pond has the spiritual power to distinguish the right and wrong of everything, and when there was a problem, the two fought to take the water in this pond and purify themselves. At Mount Fuji's Nemotohachi Reikoto No. 7 Reikoto, Manashi [Manashin] Ryuo, whose Sanskrit word means "Jishin", is the guardian deity. A country-designated natural monument, it is a constituent asset of the World Heritage Site "Mount Fuji-Objects of Faith and Sources of Art". He is also a 100-year-old Meisui of the Environment Agency (currently the Ministry of Environment).
