Fujizakura in Erikehara

In the vicinity of Lake Yamanaka along National Route 138, the cherry blossoms that bloom naturally. The Fujizakura says its official name is Mamezakura. The small flowers bloom downward, and the appearance of the maiden looking down is very dainty. It is designated as the flower of the prefecture of Yamanashi Prefecture.

Mountain Lake

It is the most easterly lake of the Five Lakes, with an area of and the largest in the Five Lakes. Surrounded by low mountains, the morning sun and the sunset are beautiful reflected in the lake. There are holiday homes and pensions in the grove, and inns and various shops and tourist facilities on the lakeside. Especially the area where there is a quiet forest called the "Literary Forest Park" on the south bank, and a library, is visited by many people. It is a "swan lake" with swans throughout the year, and there are many excellent scenic spots loved by photographers such as Diamond Fuji.

Roadside Station

It is located at the entrance of the Kanizaka Tunnel, the northern gateway of Yamanashi Prefecture, and is also the entrance of the Nishizawa Valley, and the area around the station is certified forest therapy base and road. The fresh green (rhododendron) in spring, the autumn foliage are worth a look. The roadside station has a rest room, a snack corner, and an exhibition and sales office for specialty products, including 1kg700 yen for Gon-saburo miso, 2140 yen for red wine with Yama-Sorbinion, and 2140 yen for wild vegetables, vegetables and fruits (peach, grape) in the produce corner.

Nishizawa Valley Promenade

A walking promenade along the valley. You can see waterfalls big and small. Spring rhododendrons, fresh greens and autumn foliage are particularly stunning. Around three hours and 30 minutes around.

Nishizawa Valley

The view of the waterfall looming in front of one after another is spectacular, in a valley where the clear stream slides wildly down the granite riverbed in a lush forest. The valley road along the mountain stream is a 30-minute walk from the Nishizawa valley entrance bus stop, and goes back from the Futamata suspension bridge to the left bank of the river. To see a variety of waterfalls and oddities, such as Mie no Waterfall, Ryugami Waterfall, Mother Abi, and Frog Rock, the climax leads to a spectacular Nanatsugama Five-dan Waterfall consisting of seven waterholes and five waterfalls. From here, the road moves to the opposite bank to the return course. Although it is a short distance from the ravine, it returns to the bus stop while looking at the former remains of the forest track, etc. About 9.5km per lap, 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours per lap. It is beautiful in mid-May, when a crowd of rhododendrons flowers, let alone during the period of fresh green and autumn leaves. The road is closed in winter.

Ogubozawa

Valley Exploration The Nishizawa Valley is popular for hiking. One of the swamps flowing into that valley, the deepest swamp is this Okubozawa. Along the swamp from the Ōkubo waterfall, the tracks of the Sanshio [Sanen] track, which were active in the wood export from 1933 to 1968, remain, and use this forest track as a detour for the Nishizawa Gorge sidewalk. There is a suspension bridge in Okubozawa, and the wind feels good.

Yamanashi Fruit Onsen

If you soak in a beautiful jewel outdoor bath, you can enjoy the great panorama of Mount Fuji and the Kofu basin at noon, and enjoy the three major night views of New Japan at night. You can also enjoy seasonal fruit baths.

Mitomi Fuefuki Hot Water

It is a day-trip hot spring of Yamanashi City, where a building made of wood matches the atmosphere of the surrounding area with a lot of greenery. A red granite inner bath and a garden-style open-air bath are also tasteful.

Walk through the Fuefuki River Fruit Park, past the side of the Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel, and stand on a hill about 2-3km. There is a "kokino-yu" with a view of Mount Fuji directly in front, and a wider-built "kachi-no-yu", each complete with a washing area and a bathtub (all by gender). It is popular with a wide view of the Kofu basin and a view of Mount Fuji in front of it, and the sunrise and night view, and the starry sky full of sky are wonderful.
