The fresh fish center is lined with fresh fish shellfish that have been washed up in the Nou Fishing Port, including the specialty Kaniya Yokocho. Not to mention the specialty of the local Itoo River, there is also abundant physical production in Niigata Prefecture. From the adjacent marine park, you can see a beautiful sunset over the Sea of Japan.

Jade Kingdom Hall

A product house with specialities around the Itoo River. There are plenty of local sake, local rice, seafood, sea products and folk art, and souvenirs can be bought. It is about 15 minutes from Itoigawa IC and a ski area with good access. Many skiers and snowboarders from Toyama Prefecture and the Kansai area visit. On a sunny day, you can enjoy the scenery of the largest icicles in Japan on the Sea of Japan and Mount Komagatake in early February. Family tickets nice to parents and children, such as accommodation and a pack of day skis, there is a service plan. When you fully enjoy winter sports, refresh at the adjacent salt road hot spring. The hot water in the bicarbonate spring is well received when the skin becomes slippery.

A parking area between the Itoigawa IC and the Nosei (nou) IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. It is located about 1.6km from Itoigawa IC. It is also the last PA in Niigata Prefecture on the uphill line. Surrounded by mountains and plenty of nature. When I'm tired of continuous tunnel driving, I want to stop by and refresh. Energy charge with the specialty ramen offered by the specialty "Ramen Tonta". There are also set-up menus such as "Eggplant Miso Stir-fried Set Meal" and "Intense Dumpling Set". There is a "walk-in gate" in which the PA facilities can be used from a general road.

Rendai-ji PA [Descent]

A parking area located in the city of Itoigawa, which is certified World Geopark Japan No. 1 and is geologically rare. Charge your energy with the classic "Miso Ramen" at the ramen specialty store "Tonta". I would like to taste one of the five major ramen in Niigata, the "Kotori back-fat soy sauce ramen" of the Tsubame-san series. At the shopping corner, we have a large selection of souvenirs from Toyama and the local city of Itokawa, such as "shiroebi pie" and "silk shirabe". There is a "walk-in gate" and the facilities of the PA are also available from the general road.
