GALA Yuzawa Ski Area

The station building of Shinkansen is a ski center, and the rental is substantial, so you can enjoy the ski area empty-handed. There are 16 courses in all three areas, including a south area with many non-pressure snow courses, a central area with a main gentle slope, a north area with abundant course variations, and a 2.5km total Shimoyama course. There is also a SpongeBob Basin Court, Yuki Play Park, and a nursery, which can be enjoyed with children. For après skiing, you can also enjoy a meal at a piste restaurant and a hot spring.

Yuzawa Ichigo Village

The fish marsh's first strawberry-picking experience plantation. A rare facility in the country for picking strawberries in heavy snowfall areas. It is well received for its cleanliness and easy to pick. The big feature is that it is juicy and has a strong aroma because the Echigo princess bred in Niigata Prefecture is carefully grown in a winter house.

Experience workshop Ogenta

A facility where you can experience the local food making of fish marshes such as soba noodles, sasa dango, and chimaki making. 1 pot (4 servings) is 4400 yen for buckwheat noodles. It takes about an hour to finish, and it is OK to eat on the spot or take it home. Because it is a popular spot, early booking is better.

Yuzawa Kogen Panorama Park Alp's Village

About 7 minutes on the 166-seater Yuzawa Kogen Ropeway, one of the largest in the world, Takayama Botanical Garden in Yuzawa Kogen. The largest rock garden in Japan recreates the nature of the 2500m class Takayama. A rare alpine plant blooms about 1000 species of flowers. June to early July is around. Pets can also ride on the ropeway if you put them in a cage (pets are not allowed in shops and restaurants).

Naeyama

It is located on the prefectural border with Nagano Prefecture. At an elevation of 2145m. Because of its wide base, it is suitable for a ski area, and there are Naeba, Kagura/Tashiro, Kagura/Mitsumata ski areas at the foot of the mountain. The four-square-kilometer high-rise moor at the summit is famous for its alpine plant communities between spring and summer. There is a course [Haraigawa] on the mountain climbing road, but it is intended for intermediate and above. It is designated as a special protection area for the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park.

Tōden Shack Free Rest Place

It is located in the Tōden Shut Annex, where you can take a break while looking at Shibutsuyama and Josipoli moor. The recommended menu includes drip coffee made from Oze's natural water and gelato made from domestic flower beans.

Todden Oze Bridge

A wooden bridge over the Tadami River on the way to Akadashiro, about 1km from Tōden Hut. On the northern shore of this stream, you can also see a crowd of water-basho around the beginning of June, and the top of the bridge is a good-looking viewing point.

Ozeguchi landing yard

A landing area on the Oze side of a tour boat (Ozeguchi flights are reserved) that operates Okudadami Lake. Only a small pier is provided near the mouth of the river where the Tadami River turns into Lake Okudami. When you climb the thin road leading from the pier and get to the paved road along the lake shore, there is a stop for the reserved bus to Oike/Numayama Pass. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, three buses per day (may be closed depending on the time of year). Along the paved road, the site of the Yinzan Mineway is also seen nearby, and the Yinzan Reservation Tower beyond.

Smooth Falls

It enters the road between the faint dark forests from the branch of the Danyoshi Shindo. Go up and down the slushy road and go down the wide wooden ladder to the smooth waterfall observatory. Peering below from the observation deck, which is stacked with large boulders, you can see the smooth-walling waterfall, which runs down as it glides slowly in white waves for roughly 500m over the granite monolith. It's more like a fast water than a waterfall. It takes a 20-minute walk from the branch to Danyoshi Shindo to the smooth waterfall.

Sanjono Waterfall

It flows down a head of 72.8m at a stretch, and you can enjoy a lively landscape in contrast to the smooth waterfall. It is said that the name came from the fact that when the amount of water was small, it became a waterfall of three streaks and flowed down. It is 35 minutes from the Uruno Falls Observation Deck. If you climb down a slushy road and go to a branch with the road towards Oike, you will drop the altitude at once from there and go down the steep ladder steps with chains. Furthermore, when you descend to the observation deck that overhangs the Tadami River, a large waterfall with a rich amount of water appears in front of you, and you can enjoy a powerful view.
