Shoka Kumano Shrine

The ancient shrine of the early Nara period. The god of the gods is three pillars, such as Iyin Nami Taken [Izanami no Mikoto], and has been revered since ancient times as the base of the Kumano religion in the Kanto region and as the sōjen-mori of northern Yokohama. The Shōzō was sent as a guide during the Jinmu Tōshō (Yatagarasu). Because it is the same emblem of the Japanese national football team, it is also known as "soccer shrine" in recent years, and a talisman recognized by the Japan Football Association is sold. There are many traditional festivals, such as the Tsutsumi Porridge Shrine in January and the Natsugoshi Great Exorcism in June. In the third year of Bunji (1187), the old shrine is said to be the founding of Masusugi, Musashikuni, and Shigenari Inage. The name of the shrine is that when the main priest god, Nihon Taketoshi, died, he turned into a swan and flew off. It was named after the story of his younger brother, Tachibana Hibi, who entered the Onda River, which flows directly under the sanctuary. It said that "swan" was turned to write "kamitori" and further read "shitodo" and "shitotori". Located on a small hill, in addition to the main shrine and the shrine, there are Fujizuka and Kagura-den, which are called Sendonsha, and are also known for their "Ichinshin Wailing Sumo" in May.
