Machiko Hasegawa Museum of Art

It contains about 800 pieces of art (Japanese paintings, Western paintings, crafts, and carvings) collected by manga artist Machiko Hasegawa with her sister Mariko. It publishes parts of it in four portions a year. In the year of Reiwa 2 (2020), the branch hall "Hasegawa Machiko Memorial Hall" was born across the street. In the permanent exhibition, a corner where you can enjoy the world view of the three major works of "Sazae-san", "Ijibai Granny", and "Aunt Aunt Apron", as well as the original manga and works of Machiko, will be introduced to the whole life. In addition, the planning exhibition room also holds a planned exhibition on various themes, divided into four times a year. There are also shops and cafes that sell original goods that can only be bought here.

Setagaya Museum of Art Branch Hall, Junkichi Mukai Atelier Hall

The museum opened to the public with the atelier, which also served as the home that was patronized for many years by the Western-style painter Junkichi Mukai, representing the Showa art world. The museum displays the oil paintings and drawings of Junkichi Mukai. Its motif is a thatched-roofed private house that has consistently been rooted in the Japanese climate since the war. From the lush garden surrounded by the natural forests of Musashino, such as Kunugi, Konara, and zelkova, you can feel the life of an art artist who loved nature and the breath of his production.

Museum of Snowglobe

A snow globe is considered to be the beginning when Parisian craftsmen, fond of new things, trapped the Eiffel Tower in a small palm-sized ball of glass during the 1889 Paris Expo. Goshima Museum of Art

The museum, which contains valuable art objects collected by Keita Goshima, a former chairman of Tokyu, and organizes and displays them by theme. The collection is centered on Japanese and oriental antiquities, and there are about 5000 items, including five national treasures such as "Genji-sari-e-maki" and "Murasaki Shikibu diary-e-maki", and 50 national designated important cultural treasures. In the garden, the flowers of the four seasons bloom, and together with the main building there are tea rooms "Kokeiro" and "Fujimi-tei", which became the national tangible cultural property in 2017 (2017). The statue of the gourd pond and the stone Buddha Dainichi Nyorai is arranged in a good balance, you can enjoy it with art (the tea room is usually private). The attached "Daitokukyu Memorial Bunko" is used by researchers of national literature and other literature, and contains three national treasures and 33 important cultural treasures.

Setagaya-ku Local Museum

A local museum on the grounds of the Setagaya Daikanyashiki, a nationally designated important cultural property. The oldest public regional museum in Tokyo, which was opened in 1964 as part of the 30th anniversary business of Setagaya District. There is a main building and a new building, and the design of the main building is an architect, Kunio Maekawa, who is famous for his modern Japanese architecture. The company collects, preserves, exhibits, and surveys and studies of historical and folk materials related to Setagaya-ku, and exhibits a variety of objects from Paleolithic stone tools to Showa television on the theme of the history and culture of Setagaya-ku in the permanent exhibition. Special exhibitions are also held every fall.

Wakabayashi Park

A north-south elongated park with an area of approximately 15,000 sq m adjacent to the Shōin Shrine. There is a children's park with slides and mixed play equipment, and a group of sujidai selected for Setagaya-ku's "Setagaya Hundred Views" and Setagaya-ku Nagi-Hyakkei, whose tall trees create cool shade in summer and serve as a place for recreation. In the fall, a lot of fruit falls, and children and adults can enjoy picking up the fruit.

Hanegi Park

全体が小高い丘になっており、紅白梅合わせて60種以上、約650本が見られる。毎年2月上旬~3月上旬には「せたがや梅まつり」が開催され、週末と祝日には模擬店が出て賑わう。

Uenoge Natural Park

多摩川が長い年月をかけて台地を削ってできた国分寺崖線[こくぶんじがいせん]の斜面を利用した広さ約9200平方mの公園。緑は濃く、夏でも涼しく感じられるほどで、木々を縫うように階段が設置されている。高台には桜が舞う広場、低地には崖線からの湧き水を利用して造られた水生植物園もあり、季節の花、水辺の自然を身近に感じられる公園だ。

Happy Road Oyamadai

Oyamadai Station, surrounded by Jiyugaoka and Futakotamagawa, and Tōen Shōfu, has a quiet, calm atmosphere. "Happy Road Oyamadai" is a shopping street with beautiful cobblestones and street trees extending from Oyamadai Station on the Tokyu Electric Railway Oimachi Line to the south side to Wangpachi Street. There are restaurants for women to enjoy, such as beauty salons and clothing, mainly restaurants such as cafes. From 16 to 18 o'clock, it becomes a pedestrian paradise, so you can walk slowly without worrying about the car. The "Oyamadai Festival", held every October, is a popular event with a history. Todoroki Valley Shopping Street

It is a shopping street spread around Todoroki Station on the Tokyu Electric Railway Oimachi Line, with more than 100 community-based stores running around the area. The local mascot character is "Todo Rocky" with muscular bones. A genuine Todoroki boy who loves boxing and sweet food, he appears at events in shopping streets. In the vicinity is the only valley within the 23 wards of Tokyo, "Tōriki Valley", and the "Tōriki Fudosonmeioin", which is familiar with the name "Tōriki Immovable", is also close. It is a shopping street in a city where you can feel comfortable with nature.
