Kawaguchi Municipal Art Gallery Atria

A municipal art facility located in a park with a wide lawn. In addition to creating experiences such as art appreciation courses, lecture sessions and workshops (which need to be made), the museum also holds planned exhibitions several times a year.

Kawaguchi City Science Building

The Science Museum in SKIP City, which consists of a science exhibition room, planetarium and observatory. There are about 40 kinds of experimental equipment in the science exhibition room, where you can experience the wonders of science while watching and touching. On weekends, we hold an experimental show and science manufacturing classroom to be enjoyed by parents and children. The planetarium shows a beautiful starry sky and dynamic images close to nature. In addition to the starry sky commentary and general projection of the program, there are also projections for children. The observatory has a 65cm reflecting telescope, one of the largest in Tokyo, and holds night observation sessions on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, and a guided tour to guide the three observatories every Saturday.

Saitama flower and green promotion center

About 2000 kinds of flower plants and trees for viewing are displayed in the park, and you can enjoy "flowers" and "green" in four seasons. In addition to supporting producers to guide production and shipment of plants, flowers, etc., and promoting export of bonsai, Saitama residents and the general public are provided with a place to learn green, such as a “greening lecture”, and a place to relax.

Kawaguchi City Green Center

A vast urban park of about 150,000 square meters, which was opened in 1967 and left the natural forest of Musashino. The park consists of a botanical garden zone with a flower bed square and a waterfall and a large fountain where a wide variety of flowers can be enjoyed throughout the year, and a leisure zone with a mini-railway running around playground equipment such as a gazebo and large general playground equipment and dream fusen. In the northern area of the Botanical Garden Zone, there is a field athletic adventure forest, an insect forest with butterflies, dragonflies and beetles, and a plaza with health equipment. Various events and horticultural classes are also held.

Tokinō Confectionery

Iwatsuki Nameka Tokinokinaka is in the middle of a large amount of homemade paste cooked from beans. It is made with a method that has not changed since the Taisho era. It is 189 yen for each of the three types of red bean milled, yuzu, and white kunto paste. It is also a Japanese confectionery dedicated to the Imperial Family.

Suzuki Doll Doll Studio

Since its inception, the Suzuki doll has now conveyed the tradition of the Iwatsuki doll through the handmade work of artisans. It has opened a showroom with a tea room under the concept of "a communication space where you can directly interact with dolls and culture." you can see up close, such as graceful chicks and Edoki-eye dolls, and small items you want to display casually. A tour of the workshop is also possible.

Museum of the East Ball and Doll

The museum is located on the fourth floor of the long-established doll maker, the Higashi Tamso Main Store, which has been running since the Edo period. We collect dolls from Edo to early Showa from all over the country, including our own production. It holds a valuable collection of about 3000 items, including dolls and karakuri dolls, as well as Kyoho chicks. While changing the theme several times a year, they always exhibit 50-60 pieces, introducing the history and culture of dolls. Opposite is a workshop of the leading figure of Edoki-eye doll, Kenichi Suzuki, where you can tour the production process.

Iwatsuki Castle Ruins Park

A vast park of about 180,000 square meters was created by the maintenance of the castle ruins of Iwatsuki Castle, which was said to be one of the three famous castles in the prefecture. It is surrounded by natural forests and has many undulations. It is also a famous place for flowers with cherry blossoms in early April and water lilies in early June to early August. It is also known to have many historical sites left behind, as well as a corner where the castle gates of Iwatsuki Castle (Kuromon) and the rear gates were relocated and preserved. There are many events, and the cherry blossom festival is held in early April, and the doll celebration is held on November 3.

Iwatsuki Sojin Mamoru Izu Shrine

About 1500 years ago, it is said that the beginning of the Emperor King's Emperor, the Izumo tribe tōshi [Haji], who invited the great power lord [Oku-nashi-minami-kō] to this land at the time of the migration of the East. A 500-meter approach from the Torii to the shrine, a dense forest with 10,000 tsubo will soothe your heart. In addition, there are many annual events, and I would like to visit the Shibun Festival, the Gagaku Concert, the school bag exorcism ceremony, the beginning of the moon, the beginning of the season and the end of life.
