Tsukiyono Firefly's Village Promenade

It can be seen on the Firefly no Sato promenade on the west side of Jōetsu Shinkansen Jōmoge Kogen Station. The natural-rich Firefly no Sato promenade in the countryside has an ornamental course of about 1.9km, which is full of genji fireflies and hayke botals.

Hōshō Onsen Longshukan

Located within the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, the one-member inn of Hoyuyu, which springs up in the mountains at an altitude of 800m. At the stop-in, Hoshino-yu, which is a mixed-bath, and Rōshino-yu, which is exclusively for women, are available, and there is also a plan with lunch. The specialty Hōshino-yu, whose hot springs naturally spring from the bottom of the Yūfune, is also designated as a national registered tangible cultural property. It is located in a wooden structure in the style of a ryokan, and the nostalgic atmosphere of the deer-yōkan style of the Meiji period is popular.

Water of the Mantensei

It is a hot spring facility at Sarugakyo Onsen, surrounded by the rich nature registered in the UNESCO Eco Park, and the view is especially from the open-air bath. The highly potent kakelike hot springs are also suitable for the green water, and warm the body from the core. You can also enjoy services such as private baths and steaming wormwood. Hot water

Stands in a rural landscape, the sign of the Sarugakyo Public Baths is impressive. In a small building there is only a single-sex bathhouse. The bathhouse is a quaint structure with thick beams on the ceiling and a cypress on the rim of the bathtub. The inside of the building is accented with wooden beams and window lattices on the white walls, and a rest room of about 12 tatami mats is provided. The atmosphere of the communal bathhouse is well received, and in the daytime, many tourists stop by on the way of a walk, and in the evening, it is transformed into a place of relaxation used by locals.

New Moon

A direct sales shop for Japanese confectionery in the onsen town. The specialty is 100 yen for one hot spring bun with a sweet sweet paste that sticks to Hokkaido red beans, and 120 yen for one hot spring bun with brown rice sake sake lees. 150 yen for one piece of baked goods and Mikuni's poem using eggs picked from contract farms, and 250 yen for a limited amount of bimbo pudding made with milk from Hokkaido, which is made with a special set of eggs, are also popular.

Mikuni Road Yosano Akiko Noriyuki Literature Hall (Tsubakiyama Fusa)

Literary Hall, which exhibits materials about female poets Akiko Yosano. It traces its life while introducing Akiko's songs from "Dare Hair" to "Shirakakura Shū". The permanent exhibition includes songs from the trip of Akiko, who often visited the Gunma, as well as a desk for her use, a censer, and a painting by Katsumi Miyake, which inspired her to travel to Sarugakyo. A special exhibition is also held. There is also a museum shop and a tea room. Take one hour.

Sarugakyo Sekisho Site, Materials Building

The remains of the sekisho, which was placed in Kanei 8 (1631) on the Mikuni Highway connecting Edo and Echigo. The thatched building that stands on the site is a government house built at the time and has been designated as a historic site in Gunma Prefecture. It now exhibits old maps, props of travel, and passing bills as Sarugakyo Sekisho Museum. You can learn about the journey of the Edo period.

Lake Akaya

An artificial lake that emerged due to the Aimata Dam, which dammed the Akaya River. There used to be Sasanoyu and Yujima Onsen at the bottom of the lake, but the construction of the dam caused it to sink to the bottom of the lake, and Sarugakyo Onsen was built on the shore of the lake. It is now a quiet lake reflecting the mountains of the border of the Three Kingdoms, and is also popular as a fishing spot for mountain stream fish such as smelt and mountain shark. Lake canoe tours by outdoor companies are popular.

The yōjinkan

A day-trip hot spring facility that stands along the route that leads from Yujuku Onsen to Nakanojo. The hall is fully equipped with a dining room and a large hall, private rooms for a separate fee, massage and stand, and there is a perfect space for relaxation. There are two types of large bathhouses, which have various functional bathtubs, are made of granite and cypress, and both men and women are replaced every half month. The open-air bath that continues outside is a rock garden-style structure with garden trees and rocks. It is forbidden to bring food and drink, but you can enjoy a simple local taste at the restaurant.

Variation-rich campground from forest site to square in Minakami town, Gunma prefecture. You can enjoy four seasons of camping from fresh green in spring to autumn leaves to winter in the snow.
