Battagahara Hiking Course

From Yumoto Onsen in Oku-Nikko, it passes along the shore of Lake Uno, and then looks at the 70m height of Yutaki to the marsh, Sengagahara, which extends at an altitude of 1400m. A course that leads to Ryuzu Falls by walking along the Senkigahara Nature Research Road extending along the Yukawa River. There is a flat wooden path with few ups and downs in the battlefield, where more than 100 kinds of plants can be seen, and even beginners can walk while enjoying the four seasons of nature. It is 6.3km from Yumoto Onsen Bus Stop to Yutaki-Senkigahara-Ryutakinotaki-Ryutou Waterfall Bus Stop. It takes 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Battagahara Observation Deck

It is a short walk from the parking lot to the west by a pedestrian crossing, and you can see all the views of Senkigahara, Omanataiyama, and Taroyama at an altitude of about 1400m. There are wooden paths around the area, and you can also enjoy a walk.

Northern Battlefield

Among the famous battlefields, the northern battlefields are the ones who can easily enjoy the fulfilling content. Wide wooden paths are provided to the forest and the marshlands with plenty of openness, and in the summer you can see heron sedge in close proximity. The singing of the four seasons of wild birds such as mallard, gibbon, gibbon, and thrush is also pleasant. The end is through Kotaki and concludes with the dynamic Yutaki. It is recommended to stop at Akanuma Nature Information Center before the walk. In addition to giving us seasonal information such as nature that is seen from time to time, we also sell maps and bear-yokes.

Battagahara

The first name derives from the legend that it was a battlefield in which the god of Mount Nantai and the god of Mount Akagi fought over the territory of Lake Chuzenji. From the observation deck, you can enjoy a view full of openness of the battlefield. There is a nature research road around the battlefield, and there is a hiking course that can be walked in about two hours. Cars are prohibited in the vicinity. Let's use a low-pollution bus.

Odayohara

The moor area, which stretches over about 650,000 sq m, on the west side of the battlefield. The Odashiyahara Nature Exploration Road is a two-hour walk course around the outer perimeter of Odashiyoga, which is surrounded by Mizunara larch forest, etc. Let's enjoy the scenery of the area while exchanging greetings with hikers who go along the way. The landscape of the autumn foliage period is particularly stunning, and you can feel that you are in nature. There is an iron fence through electric current to protect against eating damage of wild animals. Course: Akanuma → Ishikunuka Bridge → Odashiyahara → Izumon Pond → Sakagawa Bridge. If it is a low-pollution hybrid bus, it is 12 minutes from the Akanuma Garage bus stop, but I would like to walk on foot if possible.

Spring Gate Pond

Along with Mitokunuma, it is one of only two Ikenuma around the Senkigahara. It lies on the path of the "Senkigahara Nature Research Road", located at the western end of Senkigahara, and can be seen through the forest through the Aoki Bridge. Mallards play in the clean spring water, while dead trees and fallen trees show a mysterious form of beauty. Chairs and tables are also set up around the area, and many people take a break.

Part of the extensive site is open to the public as a public relations facility, where you can observe a variety of fish, including rainbow trout, lake trout, and sturgeon. You can learn information about fisheries in the fish information hall. It is a three-minute walk from Longdo Waterfall and autumn leaves are beautiful.

Dragon Falls

A waterfall on the way to Soutakahara on National Route 120. On the rock surface of black pumice lava, the large rock in the center is seen as a dragon's head, and the waterfall, which flows down while bubbling white from side to side, is named because it looks like a dragon's beard. Autumn leaves are also considered to be the earliest to visit in Oku-Nikko, and the autumn leaf season in early October and the blooming late May of the Euphoreba azalea is particularly beautiful, with a large number of tourists. It is also a walking course of about 30 minutes round trip, and I want to walk leisurely while watching the waterfall.

Miyama-do

The ancestor of Nikko's specialty "Kukomanju". The homemade bean made from the red beans chosen by the master himself is not too sweet and is very compatible with the thin skin. No additives or preservatives are used. 10 pieces of kokukuri buns 1400 yen and Ogura-Kuri yokan 2200 yen.
