Lake Ashinoko, where you can enjoy a variety of landscapes, such as Mount Fuji and the Torii that reflects on the lake, and autumn foliage in the summer green. If you enjoy the beauty of Lake Ashinoko, it is recommended to enjoy not only the lakeside but also the pirate boat from the lake. Embark on a graceful cruising journey around three ports.
Take a tour around the Togendai Port, the Hakone Town Port, and the Moto-Hakone Port, and enjoy the scenery of Lake Ashinoko

There are three ports where Hakone pirate ships arrive and depart: Togendai Port, Hakone Town Port, and Motokone Port. Motohakone Port, which was renewed in 2025, has improved functionality of toilets and rest rooms. A stand cafe with the image of a kitchen inside a pirate ship has also opened, and you can enjoy pirate-like food and drinks such as exciting hot dogs and sweets inspired by treasure chests.
The route goes around the lake in a counterclockwise direction. One way from the port of Totogendai to the port of Hakone-cho/Moto-Hakone is about 25 minutes/1700 yen, and the round trip is about 1 hour/3000 yen. For round-trip use, you can disembark at the port on the way and enjoy sightseeing.

The best fun of the pirate ship is the view from the ship. In addition to the blue sky and the shining lake surface, you can enjoy the beautiful nature of the four seasons, such as green mountains and seasonal flowers from spring to summer, and autumn leaves in autumn. In addition, there is a torii standing in the lake and a view point of Mt. Fuji in the middle of the route, so you will never get bored.
If you pay a special cabin fee (800 yen each way/1480 yen round trip) in addition to the regular fare, you can use the special cabin, which is more luxurious in interior than the ordinary cabin. The special cabin also has a dedicated deck for cabin users only. The number of users is limited and you can use it comfortably, so you can stay calm and stay away from crowds. In addition, the special cabin is installed in front of the ship, and the special deck and the special observation deck are open, so the view is excellent. It is recommended because you can shoot at various angles from good points.
Fun to stroll on board! 3 different types of pirate ships with different concepts and designs
There are three types of pirate ships currently operating: "Queen Ashinoko", "Royale II", and "Victory (Bikutori)". All routes are the same, with about 13 to 15 flights per day at intervals of 35 to 40 minutes (depending on the time of year). There is a regular cabin, a special cabin and a concession stand on board, and also an elevator and a multipurpose toilet. Since the concept and design are different in each ship, let's enjoy the difference in the atmosphere and scenery from the windows on board.

"Queen Ashinoko" is marked by a gold hull that reflects on Lake Ashinoko. There is plenty of wood on board, and you can enjoy the traditional Japanese-style modern atmosphere with a classical and elaborate design. A beer server is installed in the stand, so let's enjoy the draft beer on the lake. The capacity is 541 people, including 87 special cabins.

"Royale II" recreates the decorations inside and outside the ship, using an 18th-century French ship as a model. The corridor at the rear of the hull is particularly atmospheric, so let's check it out. In addition, there are elaborate ideas such as doll statues of sailors and 3D art to be able to enjoy extras. The capacity is 565 people, including 111 special cabins.

"Victory", modeled on British ships of the 18th century. A special cabin and a special deck were renewed in 2025, reborn in a chic and calm atmosphere. In addition, the concession stand has been renewed into a bar counter-style cafe. A beer server was set up following "Queen Ashinoko", allowing you to enjoy draft beer. By all means, let's go cruising in a special cabin that is now more luxurious than before. The capacity is 534, including 91 special cabins.
