In particular, tangerines in winter are a specialty of Tara, and rare rare species are also available. Processed products such as honwasabi and wasabi dressings from Tara-cho are also well received. In the "Fisherman's Hall", Haisin Champon is popular. For souvenirs, the nori of the Ariake Sea, which boasts the highest production in Japan, is recommended.

Ooshima Shrine, which on the map is located on a straight line connecting Mt. Tara and Okinoshima. It is reminiscent of the natural philosophy that the main industries of Tara-cho, agriculture and fishing (mountain and sea), are interrelated.
