Hita Gion

A festival to ward off diseases and natural disasters while praying for safety. The sight of the splendid and luxurious floats parading to the sounds of Gion Bayashi is a summer tradition in Hita. In December 2016, it was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. On July 19 (Sunday), before the main festival, the "Hita Gion Float Group Face-Showing" takes place, where floats gather in front of JR Hita Station, creating a dazzling and spectacular scene. You can enjoy the splendid and luxurious summer tradition of Hita, the "Hita Gion."

City of Ping Hong Temple

A traditional festival that has been held for over 1,400 years. Among its features, "barter" is famous, where in the past, mountain and sea products were exchanged with the phrase "kaen kae" before dawn. Nowadays, it has become an event that anyone can enjoy at Bankoji Plaza, organized mainly by preservation societies and local residents. 147th Yuhira Onsen Festival

A historic hot spring festival that has been held for 147 years in a hot spring ryokan town. The venue is the stone-paved street that has been around since the Edo period, where local residents and tourists come together to express gratitude for the blessings of the hot springs. Performers related to the region, such as Yuhira Children's Kagura and Yufuin Genryu Taiko, take the stage, allowing people of all ages to enjoy the extraordinary experience of the festival.
