Matsu-chan Market

A lava flow spread over 1.5km wide and about 4km long at an elevation of about 1200m on the northeastern slope of Mount Iwate. A lava flow observation path is maintained around the area and can be seen up close. The craggy black rock is a cold and solidified magma that flowed out in the eruption of the Edo period.
