Kanamizaki is a headland projecting into the northeastern part of the island. It is almost on the way to the observation deck provided at the tip. A giant cycads tree, which is said to be 300 to 350 years old, is about 200m long, lined up endlessly on the left and right of the road, creating a tunnel-shaped landscape that can be said to be a kind of unusual. In addition, the observation deck, where the magnificent panorama of the ocean is spread under your eyes, is located on the stairs in the middle of this cycads tunnel.

The Kanamizaki Observation Deck is located in the north-eastern part of the island, with a spectacular view of the majestic East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. On the way to this observation deck is the Kanamizaki Sotetsu Tunnel. In the old days, cycads planted by people on the island as marks for the borders of the fields, are lined up for about 200m. A group of old trees, which is now said to be 400 years old, forms a tunnel as the name suggests.
