A lava flow spread over 1.5km wide and about 4km long at an elevation of about 1200m on the northeastern slope of Mount Iwate. "Morioka Jaja Noodles", one of the three largest noodles representing the noodle kingdom Iwate, and "Sanriku Mekabu Ramen", which has the scent of the tide, are popular. In addition to the freshly baked bread "Iwateyama Bakery", "Tannohata Milk Soft" from "Tōhoku Mami Mondokoro" is also recommended. In the shopping corner, there are not only specialty products from Iwate Prefecture, but also products from Aomori and Akita prefectures.
