Soyo Gorge

A stone-arched waterway bridge, one of the largest in Japan, formed in Kaei 7 (1854). It is a part of the water for tsumune water on the southern hills of Mount Aso-minami, and has been designated as a national treasure, with a bridge length of about 78m and a bridge height of about 21m. It is well known that water spews out of the water outlet in the center of the stone bridge in an arched shape. You can enjoy picking blueberries from the specialty of Santocho. It boasts a spacious blueberry field with 50ha of late life (late July-early September). There is also a house, so you can pick it even in the rain. Soft ice cream made from homemade blueberries is also popular.
