West Park Sakura Festival

About 450 plum trees have been planted on the back mountain of the Hakubamayama Gyeongpukoku-ji temple, which was erected under the auspitations of Takashi Ashikaga. Many tourists usually visit during the Kanmei period from mid-February to mid-March, and you can spend a slow time, such as enjoying tea at a stand.

It is a famous festival for the great prayer of exorcism and evil exorcism. It is said that there will be more benefit if you wear red loincloths, shoulders, and other red objects, go through the khat, and receive a welcome. The Kayarukuri Shrine is held on both days (7 o'clock, 11 o'clock, 14 o'clock), and only one day prior to the shrine early in the morning, a "hekokaki" naked misogi is performed at the foot of the mountain, at the Ajimizu Mii Shrine in the morning. During the June period, the line around the shrine is changed to Akashide, and Oharai is also awarded a red towel as a special prayer application for the Kawato Festival. The "Iris Festival" is held to coincide with the beginning of around 100,000 Edo irises of about one hundred species in Kyushu. From 11 o'clock on May 31, the "Edo Iris Hatakari Shrine" will be performed, in which the priestess gracefully performs the dance, with the irises cut by the priest in a white costume.
