Shozen Village Exchange Hall in Khibi, Wajima

The Baifeng area is rich in nature with views of the Baifeng Baishan. It is a natural hot spring 100% sodium-bicarbonate hot spring, and it is a beautiful hot water that produces a rare and rich silk skin in the whole country. As appropriate for the National Designated Important Traditional Buildings Preservation District, it is a heavy construction using local building materials, with the best view from large windows and open-air baths. There is also a sauna.

Ushikubi Tsumugi, passed down in the Shiramine area, is a textile said to have been brought to the villagers by a fugitive from the Genji clan after their defeat in the Heiji Rebellion in 1159. Here, you can observe the entire process from spinning thread from cocoons, twisting, dyeing, winding thread, to weaving. The use of tama-mayu (round cocoons) containing two silkworms is a characteristic of Ushikubi Tsumugi, and the technique of pulling thread from these tama-mayu is quite rare, designated as an intangible cultural asset by Ishikawa Prefecture. Experiences such as weaving and making silk dolls are also recommended. Reservations are required in advance for both admission and experiences through Nishiyama Sangyo Co., Ltd.

A museum located in the Kuwajima area where many dinosaur fossils were excavated. Realistic models of dinosaurs, skeletal specimens, fossils and dioramas are on display. Tyrannosaurus greeted us at the entrance, and there is a display of a skeleton replica of a diplodocus with a total length of more than 20m. There are dinosaur models not only inside the hall but also outside the hall. You can also experience fossil search in the fossil excavation square.
