Suzuya

Onsenji Temple, which stands on a high ground in front of Ryūjin Onsen, is the beginning of Sōsan, where the Hiroho Daishi enshrined Rurikko Yakushi Nyorai (Rurikoyakushi Nyorai) in the fold of Kōyu. It is said that in the year of Hoei 2 (1705), a monk named Myozan rebuilt the Yakushido in a reservice where he cured his stubborn swelling.

A communal bathhouse at Ryujin Onsen, known as one of Japan's three beautiful hot springs, nestled along a mountain stream in the upper reaches of the Hidaka River. The men's baths are located on the first floor, while the women's baths are located on the third floor. There is a cypress and large rock-built inner bath with the hot springs of the kake-sashi, and a rock-built open-air bath along the mountain stream.

Day bathing is possible even in one of the former Goden-yū of the Kishu Tokugawa family, "Shimo-Goten". The mixed bath open-air bath facing the Hidaka River (men and women wear bath towels) is full of wildness. The bathroom of the cypress bath and the unusual Ozashiki bath with tatami mats will be changed in the morning and evening. Mixed baths open-air baths are not available when the Hidaka River is flooded.
