[About Mameda-cho]
Mameda-cho, which has a line of town from the Edo period, is also very popular as a tourist spot.
The old townscape, which contains many merchant houses and storehouses of the time, is carefully preserved, and has been awarded the "Beautiful Machinami Grand Prize" of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, as well as being selected as an Important Traditional Buildings Preservation Area. In addition, in 2015, it was recognized as the "Educational Heritage Group of Early Modern Japan-the main source of learning hearts and coursework-" together with the largest private school in early modern Japan, "Hamyi-en".

· January Hita Jubashi Ebisu Festival This is an event of the Mameda Jubashi Ebisu Shrine, which is held in the hope of thriving business and family safety.

Hita Tenji Festival The arrival procession of Nishikokusuji-gun, which is performed in an old costume, is a centerpiece event that conveys the prosperity of Tendo.

Kameyama Park

Waterfall of Ciun

Deerling Hall

Day-trip bathing is possible at the Kazuragi-no-Yado, Kazurai-kan, which is located among the eight-glance views of the Meishatsu-Fukaya River. Hot springs flowing from the source can also be rented (check required). The rock bath uses a natural rock with trees growing in a part of the bathtub, and the ceiling is high and open, giving a feeling of open air. As for the proud hand-made soba, cold mountain soba and tori soba are recommended, and it is good for lunch.

Tokoji Temple

The Zen temple of the Sōtō sect known for its five hundred arhats. The Five Hundred Rahang statue, which was laid to rest in the precinct, was carved by a single mason, Kakubei [Kakabe], who spent 19 years from Bunkyu 3 (1863). The faces of the 521 stone Buddhas are individual and have various facial expressions.

Yakusan hot water

"Yakushiyu", which is located near Yakushido, is a specialty cypress-made inner bath. The replacement of men and women is performed daily with "Iwamyu", an open-air bath nearby.
