Amagasaki City, which has developed as a “city of manufacturing,” also has a history of overcoming pollution. The southern area, where factory night view spots are concentrated, developed into a heavy chemical industrial zone centered on power plants and the steel industry. However, this development also caused pollution problems such as air pollution and water contamination. Through long-standing efforts not only by the government but also by citizens and local industries, the environment of Amagasaki has greatly improved, and the city has been selected as an “Environmental Model City.” As a result of overcoming its negative image, the fact that “factories and residential areas are close together” has led to “easy access to factories,” allowing visitors to see the powerful and distinctive factory scenery of Amagasaki, including rising steam and winding pipelines.
Since the distance to the subject is close and the area is bright, it is also possible to take photos with a smartphone.
