Yamaguchi Uirou (Japanese confectionery)

Yamaguchi's uiro is a confectionery whose main intent is warabi flour (made from the rhizome of bracken, a kind of large fern). This is kneed with azuki bean paste, heat flour, sugar, and other ingredients and then steamed. It is characterized by a unique texture that is springy and soft with an elegant and deep flavor.
Uiro are popular as the traditional confectionary of Yamaguchi.
