Asahi-dake

A waterfall over Tenjinkyo on the east side of Daisetsuzan. One of the 100 waterfalls in Japan, it is the largest waterfall in Hokkaido with a head of about 270m, and one of Japan's best waterfalls. It flows out of Aisypop and Futamisawa, a branch of the Chungawa River, and falls into seven steps, with two swamps merging on the way to form a single waterfall. The valley is followed by a high-edge wall of columnar temperance built by the Chungawa River of various forms such as Tianjin Rock, Tearma Rock, and Nanfuku Rock. When you go to the back of the onsen town, the Hagoromo waterfall appears, which is also chosen by the Japanese 100 waterfalls and leaves the Hagoromo legend. Located in the center of Hokkaido, the roadside station at the gateway when visiting Daisetsuyama National Park.
