North Port

Rum was devised to create a new product in Ogasawara. It is a product that Nathaniel Sévolle, who first settled on the island, was trading a ram to American sailors. Pure rum made from sugarcane from the island is 720 ml 2200 yen. Passion liqueur with passion fruit flavor is 2200 yen. There is also a small bottle of 300 milliliters. Rum and passion liqueur are 1100 yen.

A transfer and restoration of a sugar storage house built near the pier by islanders in the Taishō period. It is now used as a folk historical museum, and displays such stunning takono-leaf works from the Meiji period. "Roth" is the name of a stone in a building material, derived from Frederick Rolfs, a German immigrant who moved to this island in the late Edo period. He noted that the stone on Maojima was easy to process and resistant to heat, and popularized the method of its use to islanders. A stone mill made of loin stone is displayed in the front yard. It is a valuable structure designated as a tangible cultural property of the capital. We also carry out an octopus leaf-work experience (500 yen) (on the day of the event, inquiry is required).
