Lake Shidaka

A hot spring facility located directly in front of Beppu IC. There are 20 family baths of various types, including cypress, rock, and kettle baths, as well as separate large baths for men and women. The family baths use a coin system, allowing guests to enjoy the first bath at any time. The location is convenient, and the souvenir corner is well-stocked, making it a popular stop for those returning from leisure activities.

It takes 10 minutes to reach Yamakami Station at Mount Tsurumi, which is the Aso Kuju National Park, at an altitude of 1375m, and a 101-seater ropeway, the largest class in Kyushu. In addition to the large panorama overlooking the city and the sea of Beppu, you can enjoy the nature of the four seasons, with cherry blossoms in spring, summer in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and drizzle ice in winter. The gods of wisdom and power, "Tsurumi Sanjo Gondō" and Shichifukujin, are enshrined in various places on the mountain, and in front of the large parking lot at the foot, there are more than 500 stocks of shochu from all over Kyushu, such as "Kyushu Shoshosukan".

A nature symbiosis outdoor park located in the national park of Lake Shitaka in Beppu City. The biggest feature is that it minimizes environmental impact by utilizing the trees in the forest as they are. There are two types of courses: the "Adventure Course," which is dynamic and thrilling, taking advantage of the forest's elevation and terrain, and the "Canopy Course," which can be enjoyed by children from 110 cm tall. The adjacent Shitaka Lake campsite offers camping, BBQ, and boating experiences amidst seasonal scenery, providing enjoyment for all generations from children to adults.
