A specialty shop for hand-baked rice crackers topped with herbs and wild plants from Tsukahara Highlands. About 100 varieties appear throughout the year, including cherry blossoms, clover, and shepherd's purse. Carefully selected natural ingredients like wheat from Fukuoka Prefecture and brown sugar from Amami Oshima create a light and crispy texture. 12 pieces for 1200 yen, 18 pieces for 1800 yen.

Mr. Iwamoto, who served as the first bartender, established Nichols Bar at Yufuin Tamano-yu after working at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, becoming a presence that is said to have changed the nights of Yufuin. He is now retired, and a junior bartender who also trained at the Imperial Hotel takes over the counter. The space remains a comforting place to spend time, even for first-timers. Classic cocktails that are not influenced by the times are recommended (from 1200 yen).

A Western-style restaurant with an open room at home. Handmade dishes such as homemade bread and ham and sausage carefully prepared in the smoked room are popular. Evening course dishes with meat or fish, ham platter, pasta and dessert are from 2500 yen.
