CAFE WAKANA

The cafe, which uses Kappo restaurants built more than 80 years ago, has a pure Japanese-style style structure, such as a parapet and a shoji door. There is also a snack, and the Neapolitan 600 yen is a perfect item.

The Old House

A coffee shop attached to the Kitakata Museum of Art. Inside the store, an antique wall clock is decorated with a slurpy look. A cake set to choose from two types is 750 yen.

Ramen

The color of the soup is a striking jet-black ramen. Soup taken from pork genkotsu and boiled dried, etc., complements the flavor of soy sauce, which we take from Nanao, Ishikawa Prefecture. It tastes light on the look and back.

Ramen Ippei

The soup, which is made mainly from domestic pork handbone [genkotsu], boiled and made from kelp, has a mild taste without the smell. Flat-aged, multi-boiled noodles using underground water from Iitoyama absorb the soup well, and the flavor spreads out of the noodles. Ramen 750 yen. A rare thing in the Kitakata ramen is Jitojitojitto ramen with the addition of net pork back fat for 850 yen. The ramen recommended by the shopkeeper.

Marumi Dining Room

A long-established ramen shop established in 1929 (Showa 4), which is close to JR Kitakata Station. The dense soup, which is boiled and boiled with a base of tonkotsu and chicken gala and contains dried shrimp, scallops and other seafood and a few species of vegetable dashi, has a complex, deep flavor. Noodles are flat-lined medium-sized noodles unique to Kitakata ramen. On top of it is a white-haired leek with sesame oil and kizami char siu. Chinese soba 700 yen.

Makoto Canteen

A long-established ramen shop located a 2-minute walk from the Kitakata City Hall. A long line early on the street in front of the store, and the store is full of life. The thick-tasting ramen soup, which is made by adding several kinds of soy sauce to the soup with boiled dried umami on the pork bones, is delicious with a lot of sticky noodles. Slightly chukami soba 750 yen and char siu men 1050 yen.

Fukushima Ya

麺は店舗裏の蔵で作る自家製の中太縮れ麺。鶏ガラとゲン骨の動物系スープに、羅臼昆布と煮干し、宇田節などで取った魚介スープを足した、あっさりながらもコクのあるスープ。ラーメン700円、チャーシューメン950円、ミソラーメン750円。

Hisashiya

おすすめは、チャーシューめん800円、ネギチャーシューめん900円。朝ラーメンあり。

Sakauchi dining room

喜多方市役所の西隣にあるラーメン店。朝早くから開店し、朝食の客も並ぶ店の一つだ。透き通ったコクのあるスープが特徴の支那そば(中華そば)750円。麺が見えないほどチャーシューがのった肉そば1000円。
