You're a bastle

Resort "Haimurubushi" named Southern Cross. From the main island of Okinawa, 400km further south. Located halfway between Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island, Obama Island is the stage of the Nuchiguui (medicine of life) resort "Haimurubushi". A bright-colored sea holding the largest coral reef in the Northern Hemisphere, a fantastic night sky with the largest number of constellations in Japan, and a number of dishes featuring local ingredients, and a stay space that takes advantage of the traditions, culture and nature of the Yaeyama region. Exactly, an island resort that heals the lives of those who visit. You can enjoy a special resort stay in time to relax and indulge. Standard 2 people use 1 room ~ 15,000 yen per person (with breakfast).

Hamurubushi Beach

In the "Haimurubushi" facility, "Haimurubushi Beach" is a resort beach on the beach where you can challenge a variety of marine menus. Marine jets, rodeo boats, wakeboarding, water-skiing and scallop-sabani experience tours are also popular.

Obamashima General Information Center

Right in front of the port, leaving the terminal, the shop. All the returned bikes and motorbikes are washed up to the tires. So it's very clean. Information desk to ask you about everything about Obama Island. You can make a reservation on the day.

Sugar Road

A straight one-way road leading to the settlement, where the field on both sides is now cultivated with ground and grass grass.

Hososaki Settlement

A settlement on the westernmost peninsula of Obama Island. It is a settlement that was opened in the late Meiji period by the migration of marine people from Itoman on the main island of Okinawa, and is still home to many marine people. Next to Hososaki Fishing Port is the Kaiin Park, which has a large manta-shaped roof observation deck and a wave-shaped toilet. From the observation deck, you can see the beautiful scenery including the blue shining sea, and it is surprising that Iriomote Island is nearby, with the Yonara Channel known as Manta Point.

C-Technico Co., Ltd.

We run a phantom island tour made only of sand floating in the emerald green sea. The phantom island landing + fish field snorkeling (one day, half day course) departs and arrives from Obama Island and Ishigaki Island.

Candura Stone

It refers to the two stones that are placed inside the Kafone Gotake, which performs the island's largest festival, "Ensurance Festival," which hopes for this year's good harvest and the best harvest of the five next year. It is reported that carrying these two large and small stones will cause lightning and rain. It was designated as Taketomi-cho Designated Cultural Property in 1972.

Odake

The highest mountain on Obama Island, at an altitude of 99m. As you climb about 300 steps, you reach the summit in about 10 minutes. From the observation deck with a 360-degree panorama, if it is clear, you can overlook the islands of Yaeyama except Yonaguni Island. I am convinced by the reason that Obamashima is said to be "Yaeyama no Tenbusu (Heso)". On the side of the observation deck stands the "Obama Festival" monument, which sings on the beauty of the island's nature and the abundance of five lotus.

Nancho-an

Shop of accessories and original T-shirts in a quiet Nakasuji settlement. Handmade accessories using the fruits and seeds of trees native to Taketomi Island, as well as driftwood and night-light shellfish floating on the shore, are lined up in the shop using an old private house with a red tiled roof. The popularity is from 2900 yen bracelets of natural texture. The original T-shirt, which was turned around and designed with graphics, is popular for both men and women.

I'm a little man.

Shops located within Nitta Kanko; accessories and accessories such as necklaces and bracelets made of shellfish and coral; traditional textiles such as Minsara table centers and mats are also sold; and buffalo lamps carved with buffalo designs on shellfish are popular.
