Large fly lighthouse

A chalky, uninhabited lighthouse that stands on a cliff about 100m high on the northernmost part of the island of Ikutsuki. Horizontal lines are wide in front of you, and you can see Hirado Island, Oshima Island, Ukujima to the far south, Iki to the north, Tsushima if conditions are good.

Birth Moon Bridge

The 960m total length of Ikizuki Bridge over Tatsuno Seto, which flows violently between Ikizuki Island and Hirado Island. It was opened in 1991, and has the highest length in the world as a three-diameter continuous truss type. From April 2010, all vehicles will be free to pass.

Sunset Way

A seaside way with a view of the ocean that continues for about 10km, with a magnificent natural landscape that makes you forget to be in Japan and various expressions depending on the four seasons. Along with Kunsakukujima in Sasebo City, a part of the coastline on the island of Ikuzuki was also certified as Saikai National Park in 1955.

Ikizuki-cho, Hirado-shi Museum of the island

Introduce the history and culture that the people of Ikuetsu Island have nurtured, divided into four zones. During the Edo period, whaling on the island of Ikizuki, which had its largest size. In the whaling zone, the scene of whale fishing is reproduced with large dioramas, and skeletal specimens of mink and char whales are also on display. In the Kaure Kirishitan Zone, you can see videos of unique religious events and the restoration of houses that celebrated the early Showa era. The Fisherman's Arena displays the taxidermy of fish taken in the waters near Ikutsuki Island. An in-house explanation by the staff is also possible (reservation required). It takes one hour.

The Moon of the Moon

Daisuo-nen Guanyin, which rises on a small hill at Taura [Taura], which can be seen from the Ikuzuki Bridge. The bronze statue is one of the largest in Japan. With a height of 18m and a weight of 150 tons, it was built in 1980 for the safety of fishing and the provision of marine victims. The pearl that shines on the forehead is 2.5cm in diameter. There are 70 bodies inside the pedestal, including the one-tenth-sized Isuki Daisuo-nen Guanyin, as well as a wooden carved statue of Guanyin.

Nagase Nose

A bluff on the southern shore of Ikutsuki Island, with Nagase Lighthouse standing at the tip. The location of the lighthouse is 33 degrees north latitude and 129 degrees east longitude, and it is a relatively new lighthouse that was first lit on March 30, 1992. Nearby, there are a number of basalt caves created by bashai rough waves known as the Naguri-den and Nagase-eight-dong. On the nearby Farm Farm Road (Sunset Way), you can enjoy a drive while watching the horizontal line.

Cliffs of salt bales

The columns of rock created in a hexagon in the process of the hot lava cooling down are neatly lined up as if they were looming from the shoreline. The rock formations lined up on the beautiful ridgeline also look like a tortoiseshell pattern. It is officially called Shiotaira Pillar Sari.

16 Sea Bathers

A sandy beach with a width of about 200m. Wave and quiet swimming beach. The opening period is from mid-July to mid-August, 9 to 17 o'clock. Shower room (3 minutes of cold water tap water, 100 yen) and changing rooms (only for the opening of the swimming beach).

Hirado City Tabira Insect Natural Garden

The natural garden, which consists of four observation zones: an insect house and an open-air field, a waterside, a forest, and a grass-plantage, has an area of 41,000 square meters, and is always guided by a commentator.
