Odo Coast

On the southwestern tip of Kochi Prefecture, the coastal castle has a beautiful contrast between the azure sea and the Hanaoka rock cliffs. If you walk along the esplanade that extends along the cliffs, you will find the kanyon rock, monkey park and observation deck. Road Station Mejika no Sato Tosa Shimizu

Roadside station along National Highway 321 on the way from Cape Ashuryu to Ryugushi. It is adjacent to a processing site for the specialty red deer (Souda Gatsuo), which is designated as a fish in the city of Tosashimizu, where it is possible to purchase products such as the Sōda scrapers made. It also sells seafood and locally grown fresh vegetables and fruits, which are taken in the waters near Ashida. In the cafeteria, there is a menu that makes use of Sōda festival and processed products, such as curry udon made with dashi taken from Sōda festival. Adjacent to Little Square, small children and adults can enjoy.

Tosa Shimizu Foods Co., Ltd.

Princess Katsuo is a specialty of this region, which is made from the processing of the red deer (souda bonito) that can be found off the coast of Ashida. The bonito is made by turning it down with three sheets, and then pickled in a thin sauce overnight. There are seven kinds of flavors such as soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and no additives. In addition to the stick type, there are various products, and you can also buy them at the adjacent roadside station "Mejika no Sato" (8:30 to 17:30).

A tourist route that connects Ryugushi to the Left. There is a glass boat looking out at the sea from the glass window at the bottom of the ship. Sakurahama Beach Beach

A swimming beach located within the Ryugushi Marine Park. In the past, there were many cherry shellfish, so it was said that the beach seemed to be colored cherry blossom, and the name of Sakurahama also came from it. Now the blue sea and the white sand coast are beautiful and the transparency is high, so it is also suitable for snorkeling. There is also an underwater observation tower and an aquarium nearby.

Gallery of the Sea (Tosashimizu Shellfish Exhibition Hall)

It was opened in 1967 as a shellfish exhibition facility containing rare shellfish. It was designated as a registered tangible cultural property in November 2018. There are about 3000 species and about 50,000 items collected from all over the world, mainly shellfish living off the coast of Tosa, such as teramachidakara shellfish, otomeda kara, and Japanese dakara, and some of them are academically valuable. The building was designed by Japan's leading architect, Masako Hayashi.

Sliding Undersea Building

Undersea observation tower where you can observe the state of the sea at a depth of 7m in the Ashashiri Uwa Sea National Park. From the parking lot where the bus stop is located, we walk along the coastal sidewalk and go down a spiral staircase across a long bridge of about 50m. Through 16 round windows measuring 60cm in diameter, you can enjoy the world of the ocean, where you can see the sea swimming with the salmon fish medjina and haricenbon, the blue white fish and the colorful tropical fish. There are also migratory fish such as sardines and horned fish depending on the season. In the vicinity, there is "SATOUMI", a grand opening on July 18 of the year of the Reiwa 2 (2020), and a shop and cafe are also attached. It takes 40 minutes.

Left Coast

It is located on the west bank of Cape Chivaku, and it is said to have this name because it was left behind by Hiroho Daishi. It is a sea-dining plateau similar to Ryugushi Coast, with a promenade of about 50 minutes per lap. In addition to the drum rock [Tsuzumi Iwa], whose sound is returned when the hand is struck, the rock of affection reminiscent of the figure of a man and a woman, and sculptures of nature such as the dragon gai castle are caught in the eye. The fossil scar, as if the ripples had been turned into fossils as they were, has been designated as a natural monument.
