Tourist plantation

Miai PA [Up]

There are many varied menus with a perfect score of volume, such as noodles and set-up meals, including "Hatcho Miso Ramen", which is a rich miso soup made with Hatcho miso from the local town of Okazaki. Gohei rice cakes and Mitarashi Dango are very popular menus. In the shopping corner, Nagoya and Aichi are offering souvenirs, as well as beverages and sweets, such as Nagoya specialties, chicken wings and Hatcho miso. "Platto Park", which allows the use of PA facilities from the general road, is also attached.

Miai PA [down]

PA with extensive parking spaces. "Hanamaru Udon", which is open from 6:00 in the early morning, is the mainstream self-method in Honba Sanuki. You can taste your own udon with your favorite toppings. There are other fast foods shops such as "Yoshinoya" and "McDonald's" which are open 24 hours with beef bowl & set meal menus. In addition to a stand selling souvenirs, there is also a convenience store "Lawson". It also has a spacious changing table, complete with a toilet that can be used with peace of mind even with a baby. "Dog Run" and "Plat Park" are also installed.

Okazaki SA [up/down] (NEOPASA Okazaki)

It was born between the Toyota East JCT and Hamamatsu Inasa JCT on the Shin-Tōmei Expressway, and is the largest service area in the three Tōkai prefectures. There is "NEOSAPA Okazaki", a gathering of restaurants, food courts, cafes and bakeries in SA, which is an upper and lower line-intensive type. You can enjoy meals using Okazaki Meiyo Hatcho miso and Nagoya Cochin, as well as souvenirs from the Tokai area. The roof of the building is a roof garden with artificial turf, which is popular with children. A coin shower facility, "Driver's Spot", is attached to "7-Eleven".

Roadside Station Fujikawa-juku

Roadside station located at the eastern gateway of Okazaki City, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The roadside station, located in the land that flourished as the Tōkaidō Fifty-three Fujikawa-shuku, is a place to convey the history and culture of the time to the modern people, as well as an exchange for people. The facilities include Kirari Okazaki Corner, which sells tourist information and souvenirs of Okazaki, as well as a corner for direct sale of locally-picked fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as a snack corner and a convenience store. The snack corner will feature a selection of udon and yakishimen using Fujikawa-cho's specialty "Murasaki Mugi", and a menu using "Mikawa Mochi Pork" from the Mikawa district. Okazaki's specialty "Gohei rice cake" is popular in outdoor stalls.

Kakukyu Hatcho Miso (Hatcho Miso no Sato)

Hatcho-cho (formerly Hatcho-mura), located west of Okazaki Castle in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, gave its name, "Hatcho-miso". Kakukyu has been making Hatcho miso in this area since the early Edo period. Only soybeans and salt are prepared in large wooden vats, and natural river stones are stacked in cones with craftsmen to make heavy stones. We continue to adhere to the traditional method of aging by natural brewing. In the factory tour, you can see the Miso collection and the historical museum. There is also a shop with abundant miso products and a restaurant where you can enjoy miso dishes.

Okazaki Museum of World Children's Art

It was opened in 1960 as Japan's first art museum for children. It displays works from the childhood of famous artists, works drawn by children from around the world, and toys. At the attached parent-child modeling center, you can enjoy the experience of clay and painting. The parent-child modeling center can produce works without reservation (teaching material cost 100 to 2000 yen).

Okazaki Art Museum

The building, which uses the topography and has an impressive structure in harmony with the natural environment, was designed by architect Akira Kuryu. It collects and displays a variety of art objects, from Baroque paintings to Surrealism and contemporary art, including materials about the time when Tokugawa Ieyasu lived. There are no permanent exhibitions, and various exhibitions such as planned exhibitions and collection exhibitions are held about five times a year. Take one hour.

Osamu Uchida Jazz Collection Exhibition Room

It displays the jazz collection of the late Osamu Uchida, a well-known jazz enthusiast. You can also enjoy exhibitions that introduce interaction with musicians, as well as listening to records and private tape sound sources. It holds "record concerts" where you can listen to records and CDs selected by the staff at 11 o'clock and 19 o'clock every day. Okazaki City East Park Zoo

The zoo is located a short distance from the Okazaki IC on the Tomei Expressway. It is a natural zoo in a park that boasts an area of 269,100 square meters and a size of about 5.5 Banterin Dome Nagoya. There is also a contact corner with guinea pigs.
