Ujidōchi-mochi-honpo Matsuokasen

A long-established store that protects warm water at the center of Fukui's Nameka Confectionery and Uduji rice cakes. The dough of the Hadeni mochi is supple and soft-mouthed. Also accompanied by a slight sweetness. In addition, there are also available, such as dodashi dorayaki, dodashi, and moist castella with plenty of honey. There is also an eat-in (summer only), and in the summer you can eat ice that can be shaved with canna.

Umedo Jintao

Speaking of Fukui's representative Nami-ka-ka-mi rice cake. It is named after its high-grade silk woven hadaju, which has a smooth complexion. Here is a Japanese confectionery shop that recognizes its original origin. It was founded in Honghua 4th year (1847). There are two kinds of Hada-ji rice cakes, which are characterized by an elegant sweetness and a silky, fine-grained tongue. 15 pieces with white bean paste 750 yen ~, 15 pieces with rice cakes only 600 yen ~.

Kinkado Hayakawa Prism Fukui Store

It is a shop that sells Japanese sweets and sushi, but one of the most famous ones is Hada Walnut, 110 yen. It is a dish made of a speciality of Fukui, Uduji rice cake, with walnuts, and its unique texture is irresistible. It has also been awarded the Prime Minister's Award for the National Confectionery Exposition. You can enjoy the unique texture and taste of sweetly boiled walnuts and sandwiched between the fragrant and baked choux dough. One pack of Sasako Hisashi, a specialty of Echizen Katsuyama, is also recommended for 650 yen.

Cafe points

Sweets with new ideas are always in the cute shop. There are 30 kinds of baked goods alone, and about 20 kinds of chocolate. The signboard product is a soft-mouthed Hanjukuchizu (Hall 4 1512 yen). You can also enjoy 5-6 types of lunch menus on the second floor.

Heaven

Shio Uni specialty store that has kept the taste of tradition since its inception in the first year of culture (1804). The famous Echizen-style Shiou is made by the salting method, which is finished with only the ovaries and salt of the bafununi. Shiou Niu paulownia box container 31g 5400 yen, Shiou Nii container 16g 3240 yen. There are dishes that are perfect for sake snacks and side dishes, such as seaweed that is dried in the sun and rubbed and loosened. Yonego Misoraku

Miso's theme park is offered by Yonego no Miso of Omotoyama Eiheiji's Omotoyama. You can also enjoy shopping at a directly managed store, lunch with fermented foods at Miso Cafe Misola, and a handmade miso experience and a tour of the Miso factory.

Small big black shop

A store of Japanese candles and incense at the Eiheiji Imperial Palace. In Fukui, candles with various paintings have been loved for a long time. This is the sixth generation in the present, continuing to adhere to handmade techniques transmitted from the time of its founding. From large candles used in the temple, to colorful hand-painted candles, which are perfect for souvenirs. There are also individual candlesticks, which are fun just to watch.

Crafts corner of Echizen and Wakasa

Four of Fukui's leading traditional crafts, Echizen lacquerware, Echizen cutlery, Echizen ware, and Echizen Japanese paper, are available; and maintenance is possible, such as repainting lacquer.

Seibu Fukui store

Located along the main street leading from JR Fukui Station. It offers a full lineup of clothing, baby products, cosmetics, and interior merchandise. In addition, there are more than 30 shops of local sake in Fukui Prefecture, as well as seven national-designated traditional crafts.

Fukui Prefectural Museum of Art

It contains and exhibits works by Iwasa Mataibei and Katsushika Hokusai, Miro and Millet, among others modern paintings by Okakura Tenshin, whose father was a Fukui feudal lord. Tatsugoro Okajima, a native of Ono, Fukui Prefecture, who ran an antiquities dealer in New York during the Meiji-Showa period, also holds the Okajima Collection, which collects art and crafts such as sword braces for his entire life. In addition to collection exhibitions and theme exhibitions by the collection, there are special exhibitions and museum theaters. The exhibition will be replaced 8 to 10 times a year, and space will be rented to the public.
