Noseng Beach

Benteniwa, which can also be seen from Route 8, is a landmark. It is surrounded by Benteniwa and a breakwater, so it is popular with families as a calm beach where they can swim in peace.

Rendai-ji PA [up]

A parking area between the Itoigawa IC and the Nosei (nou) IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. It is located about 1.6km from Itoigawa IC. It is also the last PA in Niigata Prefecture on the uphill line. Surrounded by mountains and plenty of nature. When I'm tired of continuous tunnel driving, I want to stop by and refresh. Energy charge with the specialty ramen offered by the specialty "Ramen Tonta". There are also set-up menus such as "Eggplant Miso Stir-fried Set Meal" and "Intense Dumpling Set". There is a "walk-in gate" in which the PA facilities can be used from a general road.

Rendai-ji PA [Descent]

A parking area located in the city of Itoigawa, which is certified World Geopark Japan No. 1 and is geologically rare. Charge your energy with the classic "Miso Ramen" at the ramen specialty store "Tonta". I would like to taste one of the five major ramen in Niigata, the "Kotori back-fat soy sauce ramen" of the Tsubame-san series. At the shopping corner, we have a large selection of souvenirs from Toyama and the local city of Itokawa, such as "shiroebi pie" and "silk shirabe". There is a "walk-in gate" and the facilities of the PA are also available from the general road.

Road Station

Located near the prefectural border between Niigata and Toyama, the roadside station is blessed with landscapes and specialties. The dining hall has an extensive menu. It also sells Itoigawa jade.

Fossa Magna Museum

The Fossa Magna Theater, where you can experience the formation of the large groove "Fossa Magna" in the Japanese archipelago, and the Earth and Geology Museum, which displays various minerals and fossils. In addition, in the first exhibition room, you can see beautiful Hijis of green, white, blue, purple and black colors.

Kotaki River Jade Gorge

Jade native land in the Kotaki River, upstream of the Hime River. The whole mountain is a valley that cuts the Meisei Mountain, which consists of limestone, and jade stones can be seen in the flow. It is said to be the first place where jade was discovered in Japan, and has been designated as a national natural monument, along with the bridge of the bridge in the Aomi district. The parking lot is on a learning seawall that descends to the river bank. Rocks are prohibited on the riverbank.

Marsh of the Marsh

At an altitude of 870m and 210,000 sq m, plants that show beauty in the four seasons grow naturally on the large moor, and you can slowly watch while walking around the promenade for about 1 to 2 hours. From the end of April to the middle of May, the small yellow Ryukinka from the beginning of May, and the oysters bloom in June. It is also a treasure trove of wild birds, and many people enjoy bird watching.

Myoko Sunshine Land

There are a variety of attractions, including the Ferris wheel, Skyjet and Adventure Safari, which can be enjoyed by children and adults.

Suginosawa Onsen Naename no Uto

A base to Sasagamine, a day-trip facility at Suginosawa Onsen, which is only for men and women, but the small-sized facility is perfect for a walk-back bath, and the hot water is a hydrogen carbonate hot spring, almost colorless and transparent, odorless.

Myoko Suginohara Ski Area

A ski area extending on the southern slope of Mount Akakura from the top ski area at an altitude of 1855m. The longest running distance is about 8.5km, and about 80% of the 16-course long and wide pistes are for beginners and intermediates, so anyone from children to adults can enjoy winter sports. Of course, the lift fee for children up to elementary school students is free all day. At Suginohara Ski Resort's boasting snow park "Sugi Park", there are items that make use of the terrain, such as spines and banks, so you can fully enjoy both skiing and snowboarding.
