Mount Mitake and Sunrise Hiking Course

Course where you can enjoy the view from Sunrise Mountain and the view of Umego. Go up to Mt. Mitake by cable car. Stop at Musashi-Otake Shrine and head to Sunrise Mountain. It follows the ridge from the branch, and as soon as it passes through Sanrakusang, it is the top of the sunrise mountain. Take a slow break at the view of Okutama. Musashi Gotake Shrine

Crossing the Hirazo River Bridge, there is a trailhead, and a tight slope continues to the middle. The summit of the high water mountain shortly from the back of Jofukuin. Go down and head to the left to Iwatake Ishiyama with a good view. Further to the left, on the craggy ridge road, it is the peak of Mount Onidake, where the Aowei [Aoi] Shrine stands. From the front of the shrine, go along the ridge to Otake Station. Course: Bunobata Station → 15 minutes → Hiramizogawa Bridge → 1 hour 15 minutes → Takamizan → 35 minutes → Iwatake Ishiyama → 40 minutes → Onigake Mountain → 1 hour 5 minutes → Odake Station. A walking total of 3 hours and 50 minutes.

Ozawa Sake Brewery

Ozawa Sake Brewery, known for its nameake, Sannoi, located in Okutama. It is a long-established sake brewery that was founded in the middle of the Edo period in the year of Genroku 15 (1702). It uses water that springs from the depths of a cave dug out of the bedrock of the Chichibu Paleo Formation and carefully selected sake rice, and the sake made by the traditional method of production is rich in aroma and taste. On a free sake brewery tour by appointment, you can see the inside of the store and the well. On the site along the Tama River across the Ome Kaido, there are directly operated shops, restaurants, restaurants, cafes, and barbecue places with full reservations, so you can enjoy a day.

Sazanoi Comb Kanzashi Museum of Art

The exhibition mainly features cosmetics accessories such as combs and kanzashi, which once adorned the hair of Japanese women, as well as red boards and Hakosako. The items, which are decorated with sowing and swordsmiths, attract sighs from the viewer. The collection is mainly from Edo to Showa, and about 500 out of about 4000 items are exhibited and replaced every season. It takes 30 minutes.

Yudo Museum of Art

The museum, which displays works by the master of modern Japanese painting, Kawai Gyokudo. After moving his residence through estranged life in 1944, Gyokudo continued his creations at Mitake after the end of the war without returning to the city center for about ten years before his death at the age of 84. There are many works depicting the nature of Mitake in the hall, which stands overlooking the valley that the master loved. The museum was opened in the fourth year after the death of Gyokudō, with the building being designed by Gojuhachi Yoshida and the garden of Karesansui being designed by Ken Nakajima. The painting room of his later years has been restored in the hall, and love supplies are also on display. The exhibition is changed about seven times a year.
