Senba Tosho Palace

Nikko, one of the three major Higashō-gū-gū along with Mount Kuno. It was built in Kanei 10 (1633) by the fact that the remains of Tokugawa Ieyasu were kept in Kita-in for four days while he was carrying the remains of Tokugawa Ieyasu from Mount Kuno in Shizuoka to Nikko, and the priesthood of Tenkai Shumasa, who had strong confidence of Ieyasu, ran the law ceremony. The current shrine was erected in Kanei 17 (1640). Suijimon, Torii, Haidon, Karamon, and the Main Hall are all important cultural treasures of the country. The Shahō no Thirty-Six Kasen (Important Cultural Property) is a work of the Momoyama period and is housed in the Museum of History and Folklore in Saitama City.
