Zenchitori Shrine

It is said to be the beginning of Emperor Yun-Kyung's imperial reign, when the Zenchikitori Chūgō Anfata reigned over this land and enshrined the Three Goddesses of Munakata, the son of the Emperor Amaterasu. It was also rebuilt in the second year of the Tohoku Expedition of Sakaueda-Mura (807), and in the year of Kanei 18 (1641), it became the company of Aomori Sojen-mori. It became a prefectural company in 1873 and has been revered as the birthplace of Aomori City.

Heipo Park Beach

Hepo Park is a historic park where you can enjoy the 400-decade-old pines and the flowers of the four seasons. It is also close to the city area, and is a scenic seashore park where the cherry forest and the sandy beach are combined with each other, overlooking Hakkoda Renfeng to the south and Shimokita Peninsula to the north. The sandy beach on the north side facing Aomori Bay is used as a bathing beach in the summer months.

An apple garden full of nature spread at the foot of the Hakkoda. There are 40 varieties of apples. The taste of apples ripped off with their own hands is exceptional. Reasonable rates are also well received. There are fruit picks that change every season.

Beiyang Glass Co., Ltd.

A factory that handles glass crafts, including Aomori's traditional craft, Tsugaru Biyidoro, where you can see the site made by several different production methods, and a shop of "Tsugaru Biyidoro" in the factory, details of which are confirmed on the "Tsugaru Biyidoro" official website.

Aomori Prefectural Museum of Art

You can see the exhibition room of Shiga Purikata, a native of Aomori Prefecture, and the works of the contemporary artist, Michichi Nara, in a space of plenty. The ingenious building, like a white box falling into a trench (trench) reminiscent of an archaeological excavation site, is inspired by the adjacent "Sannai Maruyama Site", and its space is one of the sights. There are also free zones such as "Aomori Dog" and "Hakkakudo", so I want to feel free to stop by.

Hakkodayama Snow Middle Military Distress Museum

In January 1902 (Meiji 35), Aomori No. 5 Corps conducted snow-line training and suffered a distress incident in which 199 out of 210 people were killed. From the background of the time, the war plan, distress, search, rescue, and subsequent circumstances are displayed in an easy-to-understand manner. It is also introduced in the video.

Aomori Kindai Bungaku-kan

It features a permanent exhibition of books, magazines, manuscripts, and letters of literary figures from Aomori Prefecture, including Kōroku Sato, Ujaku Akita, Yojiro Ishizaka, Osamu Dazai, Tetsuro Miura, Hideo Nagabe and Shuji Terayama. There are also special exhibitions on various themes. Take 30 to 60 minutes.

Special Historic Site Sannai Maruyama Site

The site of one of the largest Jōmon settlements in Japan in the early to middle Jōmon period (approximately 5900-4200 years ago), which suddenly appeared in excavations from 1992. One of the constituent assets of the World Heritage Site "Jōmon Sites of Hokkaido and North-East North", registered on July 24, 2021. Restore large pit buildings and stilted pillar buildings on vast land. There is also a large dug-out pillar building, about 15m high, which is crossed with restored chestnut columns. It is estimated that there was also a trade with a distance from the excavated items. A volunteer guide will guide you in about an hour (free of charge, the inquiry is the Sannai Maruyama Cheer Squad). You can enjoy making magatama (330 yen, 50 minutes) at the Jōmon Museum. Soft chestnut dream [cream] and pin batch are popular in the cafeteria and concession stands.

Hepo Park

It opened in 1894. It is a beach park with Hakkoda on the back of Aomori Bay. It is also known as a cherry blossom spot where you can enjoy about 630 cherry blossoms in the spring, mainly around Yoshino cherry blossoms. In addition to the municipal ballpark, an outdoor stage and a multi-purpose square, there is also a tea room, "Aiura-tei", a zoological house, and as many as 31 stone monuments. In mid-April, the "Aomori Spring Festival" will be held with the venues of Aiura Park and Nogiwa Park located in the western part of Aomori City.
