About 300 species of 200,000 irises are in bloom on the shores of Lake Kitagata. During the festival, stock sales of irises, local specialty markets, and lake-side tours are held.

The city of Enma is a yearly event in Kashiwazaki, which has been around for more than 200 years since the Edo period. The "Furusato Tako-cho Hydrangea Festival" will be held in June at the town minesozu in June, when about 10,000 shares of Shiyōka, blooming on the Kuriyama Hydrangea promenade, add color to the early summer. From Saturday, June 8 to Sunday, June 16, Hydrangea Week, various projects will be held according to the time of the Hydrangea.
