In 2016, it was listed as a "UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage" as one of the "Mountain, Stand and Food Events".

刀都の春を彩る「関まつり」。最大の呼び物であるあんどんみこしコンクールでは、大小20余基のあんどんみこしが夜の町を練り歩き、華やかさを競う。コンクールは19日（土）18時45分～20時30分、入賞したみこしによる表彰パレードは20日（日）19～20時。また、19日（土）の昼にはパレードやステージイベントが行われるほか、県指定重要文化財の浦嶋山車や加茂山車の巡行、春日神社では400年以上続く古典芸能「どうじやこう」も行われ、市街地は祭り一色に染まる。 画像提供：一般社団法人　関市観光協会

The cherry trees in the outer moat of Matsumoto Castle are lit up, and the beautiful light corridor wraps around the jet-black Matsumoto Castle. Each branch of the cherry blossoms illuminated by the light is reflected on the surface of the moat, and the world of the mysterious light spreads. Hisaya Fukada, the author of "One Hundred Great Mountains in Japan", died suddenly while climbing Chigatake on March 21, 1971. The Fukada Memorial Park was opened in 1981 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his death.
