Tsuruga City has established incentive programs to support business location and actively promotes corporate establishment within the city.
By combining incentive programs from the national government, the Electric Power Development Area Promotion Center (F Subsidy), Fukui Prefecture, and Tsuruga City, it is possible to significantly reduce the amount of investment required.
To reduce the burden of setting up a business, subsidies are available for 50% of office rent and the cost of purchasing or leasing office equipment, as well as 100% coverage of communication line usage fees.
Up to 24 million yen in subsidies are available to cover office establishment costs.

Increased contract power (Note 1) × (Calculated unit price (Note 2) − Subsidy unit price (Note 3)) × Number of months electricity charges are paid
Note 1: For the purpose of calculating the grant amount, the maximum contract power is 1,500 kW if the number of newly employed persons is 3 to less than 20, and 2,500 kW if 20 or more.
Note 2: The calculated unit price is determined by applying the amount obtained from the formula — actual electricity payment (for six months) ÷ actual contract power (average contract power) × number of payment months — to the table below.
Monthly electricity charge per 1 kW | Calculated Unit Price (1) |
---|---|
1 yen or less than 1,500 yen | 600 yen |
Over 1,500 yen and under 1,600 yen | 640 yen |
More than 1,600 yen and less than 1,700 yen | 680 yen |
Over 1,700 yen and under 1,800 yen | 720 yen |
Thereafter, categorized in increments of 100 yen | Thereafter, 40 yen is added for each increment |
Note 3: Tsuruga City: 462 yen (subject to change)
Grant limit amount
(1) Calculated electricity cost = Increased contract power × (Calculated unit price × Coefficient (Note 4) − Subsidy unit price) × Number of payment months
(2) Electricity payment = Increased electricity cost × Coefficient (Note 5) − (Increased contract power × Subsidy unit price × Number of payment months)
The calculated grant amount based on the above formulas is compared with the grant limits (1) and (2), and the lowest of these amounts will be the final grant amount (rounded down to the nearest thousand yen).
Note 4: Tsuruga City: 2.0 (subject to change)
