Relaxing Natural Hot Springs

The Tenno River Park is centered around a pond that was once formed by the damming of the Tenno River, a tributary of the Kiso River. It is known as the eight views of the Tenno River, including cherry blossoms in the spring, wisteria in the early summer, autumn leaves and snow scenes in the winter. In addition, the Karakuzune (Danjijibune) event of the Owarizushima Tenno Festival, which is held on the fourth Saturday and Sunday of July every year, was listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Site in December 2016.

It carries two large torches 1m in diameter and 10m in length, goes through the tower gate of an important cultural property and lines up in front of the worship hall, and the Shinto priest proceeds to the main shrine, appreciate the visit of spring under the flame light and pray for the absence of disaster. The country's Important Intangible Folk Cultural Heritage (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage), the Owarizujima Tenno Festival, prays to spend the summer safely without suffering from summer sickness. During the autumn festival, which takes place on the first Sunday of October, a mountain decorated with 11 karakuri dolls and three stone festival cars gather at the shrine to thank the five rice for their fertility.
