The Marugame Castle Castle Experience is an effort to refine the charm of the historical resources of Marugame City through tourism and leave them to posterity. The experience and enjoyment itself has led to a sustainable inheritance of Marugame's history and culture.

The Marugame Castle Castle Experience uses local things as much as possible, and gives them back to the local economy by getting involved with local people.

A rickshaw will greet you at JR Marugame Station and ride the rickshaw to Marugame Castle. Along the way, enjoy a guide to the history of Marugame and the castle town.

After arriving at Marugame Castle, the concierge will be waiting for you at the Daiji Gate. After that, you will be checked in at Oidaichi's Gate, a national important cultural monument built in 1670. In Japan, there are only three castles in which the castle tower and Ōtemon exist: Marugame Castle, Kochi Castle, and Hirosaki Castle. At Daiichi's Gate, it is still drumming all year round.

After check-in, you will be picked up by the Japanese taiko of the Marugame tradition, and many other organizations have inherited their culture, including the Marugame Bashara Taiko, the Sanshu Marugame Shio-Miwa Taiko, and the Taiko Daiko.

If you enjoy playing the drums, you will head to the guest room where you will be staying. On the way, you will be able to climb the steep "payoff slope" and enjoy the splendor of the high stone wall, which boasts the best technology in Japan.

The castle tower of the night, which cannot be entered by the general public, is a structure that is designated as an important cultural property of the country, with beautiful distribution of Karataze and staggered birds, and the guide will guide you.

The guest room to be prepared is the "Enshou-kokudokan" in Sannomaru. It is a beautiful building that preserves the history of the Kyokoku family. Please relax until dinner.

Dinner begins with the greeting of the cook, and the local consumption of Marugame begins. We offer natural-rich ingredients grown locally, from seasonal vegetables to rare sea products. Please enjoy the ultimate gastronomy, such as one dish related to the Kyokouya, which was fully utilized by the chef of the training.

You can use the space of Important Cultural Property as a private night lounge. Please spend your special space and time with music with a drink in your hand. If you enjoy it at once, you will return to the Enshou Hall and go to bed in the castle floating on the Marugame Plain.

Go to the "Nakatsu Manzou Garden" located in the city. Nakatsu Manzō-en is a garden built on the sea beach of Nakatsu by the second generation of the Marugame clan, Keikō Takatoyo, in 1688. Please have breakfast at my mother's house while looking at Oikuma Matsu, which is said to be about 650 years old.

You will experience the traditional craft of Marugame and the making of uchiwa at the Matsuho-tei in the same garden through a craftsman's lecture. Marugame's fans account for 90% of the domestic share and are designated as a national registered tangible folk cultural property.

After the uchiwa-making experience, go to the "Kanshairo", which is said to be the oldest sencha room in Japan. Slowly experience the sencha ceremony using tea leaves such as sencha and gyokuro using a teapot, while looking at the gardens of Nakatsu Manzo Garden.
