Road Station Shiosai Market Hofu

A town station located on the approach to Hofu Tenmangu, convenient as a base for surrounding sightseeing. It features an information corner where staff provide guidance, a specialty and souvenir corner showcasing Hofu's local products, and a café restaurant where you can enjoy various meals and sweets, including a monthly lunch. Rental bicycles are available: cross bikes for 1000 yen for up to 6 hours, tandem bikes for 800 yen, regular bikes for 300 yen, and electric bikes for 450 yen. An additional 200 yen is charged for extensions (returns are until 5:30 PM). The baby station provides facilities for nursing and other needs.

Mitajiri Shioda, which until modern times had been a major source of salt alongside Ako and Sakaide since the construction of the Irihama-style Shioda in the year of Genroku 12 (1699). This is a facility that conveys its history, and you can tour the restored Hamaya (Ootama, Kamaya, etc.), the concentrating table and the salt fields. In addition, in the salt field, you can experience the traditional work [saikan], and in the exhibition room, you can experience the simple work of Senzaku [Sengo] using a frying pan, etc. The chimney of Kamaya is a registered tangible cultural property (Cultural Affairs Agency).

The museum was set up in a corner of the Mohri Garden. It holds about 20,000 pieces of treasure that were introduced to the Mohri family, including Sesshu's national treasure, Shiki Sansui Zu, and Mōri Motonari Image, which has been designated as a national important cultural treasure. It is displayed and displayed once every two months. The Ikeizumi-style garden also enjoys the beauty of the four seasons, such as cherry blossoms, azalea, and autumn leaves.
