Tari-nashiya (Chanko-nashiya)

A café utilizing the old Jōi Elementary School building constructed in the early Showa period. The first floor, which used to be the staff room and reception room, is now used as a tea room. The owner is a graduate of this school, and the space retains the atmosphere of the time with antique furniture and decor, allowing for a relaxed experience. "I opened this place hoping people would enjoy the slow rural atmosphere," says the owner. I want to spend a quiet moment with handmade cakes and deep-roasted blend coffee.

A dining place overlooking the Yabakei Dam Memorial Park "Keiseki-en" located by the Yabakei Dam. It features "Yabakei Meat Workshop Inoshika," offering dishes made with game such as boar and deer caught by local hunters. Recommended dishes include the "Boar Lava Grill Set" with side dishes and dessert, and the "Maple Leaf Hot Pot Set" featuring deer meat as the main dish. The hot pot and lava grill using Yabakei's crowned chicken are also recommended. There are also a la carte dishes like sweetfish and yamame, as well as familiar menu items like duck udon and mountain yam soba. The "Soft-shelled Turtle Hot Pot," infused with kombu dashi and soft-shelled turtle extract, is also highly recommended.

Offering Nakatsu's specialty fried chicken with an original seasoning. Enjoy about 40 types of natural food using local ingredients in a buffet style.
