Kunitachi Village Forest Park

The park is covered by Itajii, located at the foot of Mount Yonaha, the highest peak in Okinawa, at an altitude of 503m. A 10-minute drive from the roadside station Yui Yui Kunitachi. The 3km promenade is ideal for forest bathing. The great nature of Yanbar is home to rare flora and fauna, such as the white-nosed owl and the Japanese-crowned turtle. Hiji Otaki

Hiji Otaki, the largest size of the main island in the back of Yanbaru, is easy to enjoy walking around the jungle because the promenade is well maintained. Island of Confectionery Pamiyama

A shop of handmade bread and cake, which is popular for its nostalgia and taste, is 250 yen for 3 pieces of koppe bread. A simple cake with a low sweetness is always prepared, especially fruit shortcake 300 yen and eclair 130 yen are recommended. Island strawberries are used (time of year is from 12 to June). Selling bread using homemade oats. In addition, strawberry pies with cookies and jam made from island strawberries are sold at the Nakada Port terminal and in stores.

Izena Village Fureai Folklore Hall

A museum where you can learn the history, culture and folklore of the island. The museum has a permanent display of the holdings of Mekakarudonchi, a kinsman of King Shouen. There are precious items, such as the feasers used in the festival, the hanging shaft that they were received from the king of Shuri, and the lacquerware. The area around Izena Island is also rich in archaeological sites. Uncovered on the uninhabited island of Gushikawa-jima [Gushikawa-jima] in the north of the island is not to be missed. It is a rare human bone that was excavated with eight shellfish rings on its arm, and is said to be about 2500 to 3500 years old. It takes 30 minutes.

Shang Yen Wang Garden Park

It is one of many historical sites in the area of Izena Island related to Sōen-Oo, and this place is the birthplace of Sōen-Oo. It is a land that has been carefully protected since the time of the kingdom, and there are still many worshipers from all over Okinawa. In the park, the 3.5m-high statue of King Shōen stands majestically pointing to the east. In the forest of the back, there is the historic site of the prefecture, the residence of the birthplace of the sangenwang, Mihosojo. In Oei 22 (1415), the umbilical cord is celebrated under a large stone at the place where Kanemaru was born. Nearby is the horseshoe-shaped Iizumi, Shiodaira Mikawa, which Kanemaru used shoyu.

Izena Mountain Forest Park

A natural park occupying an area of about a third of the island. Ryukyu pine trees grow all over the mountain skin is like a huge bonsai. Three Higashiya are provided on the 2km promenade, and you can wander while looking at scenic spots such as the Futamigaura [Futamigaura] coast, Mount Izena, and Mount Chijindake [Chijinami]. The Futamigaura coast is a sea of coral reefs that was selected as the "Japanese Nagisa 100". In one corner, there are crags known as Riku [Agi] Gitara and Sea Gitara, which pirise to face each other on the mountain side and on the sea side. Gitara is a word meaning "cliff."

Izena Settlement

A secluded settlement that retains its appearance of the original Okinawan landscape, including the trees lined with trees and coral stone walls, and private houses with red-tiled roofs. In the early modern period, the island's guardhouses (government offices) were set up. The mansion of the old house related to Enno and the large trees of Deigo speak of the history.

Izena Castle Site

It is located on Izena Island. It was Shohashi who built the first unified dynasty of Ryukyu in the first year of Yongkyo (1429), prior to the Second Shō, but the site of Izena Castle at the eastern end of the island. It is a castle built in the middle of the 14th century by the great lord of Sōgawa Ufunushi, the grandfather of Sōgawa. The castle made of quartzite is about 100m above sea level and has a stunning pyramid shape with a natural fortress of the sea and bluffs on three sides. The whole mountain is a castle, and a stone wall is built on the north side. This castle was abandoned when Dae Chuan moved to the main island. Okinawa Prefecture Designated Historic Site.

The shrine house (the shrine house)

The ancestors of the Shangkari family were relatives of King Shangen, and the former family, who served as the land head of the island during the dynasty. The housing is designated as a National Designated Important Cultural Property. The Himpung (blindfolded fence) stood at the front when entering through the gate, and a covered gate on the right, with women entering and exiting from the gate and men from the left side of Himpung, it said. The current building was rebuilt in 1905, and includes two buildings, the main building and the Asagi (outhouse), which was the place of accommodation for guests from Naha. It is built in the traditional Okinawan architectural style using good quality maki wood. The rear of the main building and the exterior of the kitchen are plastered, and the main building and Asagi are outbuildings, but the roof is a continuation.
