Kumamoto shop

The elongated, Daifuku-like Yamaga-yokan is made of rice flour wrapped in rice paste. Yamaga lantern shop Nakashima

It deals with "gold lanterns" and first Yamaga lanterns, which are danced by women on their heads at the lantern festival. There are also commemorative souvenirs such as a portable strap that mimics "gold lanterns" 1300 yen. Gold lanterns 6600 to 43,000 yen, mini lanterns handmade kits 4000 yen.

Yamaga Lantern Folk Art Museum

Various types of lanterns, such as gold lanterns, palace construction, and parlor construction, are displayed in a retro building that stands in the center of the hot spring town. It is registered on the National Tangible Cultural Property. You can tour the production process of lanterns in the production workshop. Tour in the museum takes 30 minutes.

Management Museum Dream Kozo

A museum that is a converted Tozo built in 1887 (Meiji 20), which is older than Yachiyoza. A collection of costumes, film projectors and flyers used on the stage of Yachiyoza, as well as props and more on display. It also sells video broadcasts and souvenirs that showcase the history of Yachiyoza.

Yachiyo-za

Important cultural objects of the country built in the year of Meiji 43 (1910). It conveys the style of the Edo period Kabuki hut to the present. When there is no event, you can tour with a guide (visit requires inquiry). Many valuable historical materials such as props and flyers from the play of the Meiji period are exhibited at Yumekogura, a museum that stands diagonally. Take one hour.

Kosenji Temple

The temple has been watching the history of many mountain deer since it was erected in 1578. Besides the Kura, which contains 7000 books of sukei books from the mid-Edo period, there are the tombs of Sōgaiya Rihei and Yufang, who were the models for Yufang Isa, which appear in "Yufang Awa Narumon" by Chikamatsu Monzaemon.

Healing Forest Yu ~ Kum

A complex surrounded by clear stream and green. There are single-sex bathrooms with outdoor baths, heated pools, and training gyms (high school students and above). The inn
