Unzen Information Hall of Okayama

It provides information on the nature and history of the National Park Unzen and the entire Shimabara Peninsula. It also provides an easy-to-understand introduction to the detailed mechanics of volcanoes and hot springs using dioramas and models. Nature observation meetings and nature craft classes are also held.

Unzen Bidoro Museum

A collection of about 300 pieces of the world's most valuable pieces of the Edo period, which began in Nagasaki, and the world's most valuable pieces of 19th-century glass, Horizon, which is a modern glass, is a must-have experience in a glass workshop.

Candy shop museum

It is marked by a pointed roof that rises almost in the center of the hot spring town. Mount Myōmyeon Observatory

The roof of the station building at the Yunsen Ropeway Myōmyōdake Station is the Myōyōdake Observation Deck, but a further 5-6 minutes climb the mountain path to find the Myōyōdake Observation Center, which is located at an altitude of 1333m and the highest point in the Yunsen area. Mount Mengami and the area of Mount Pugen, the Fugen Forest (Natural Monument) counts 120 species, and is also famous for its colorful autumn foliage. We see mid-October to early November.

Nita Pass Observation Center

The observatory, which is located at an altitude of about 1100m, offers a panoramic view of the area of Harukara, including the Heisei Shinzan (Natural Monument), which was born in the eruption of Mount Fukendake in 1990. The scenery, which is rich in seasonal variations, is also attractive with Miyama Kirishima in spring, fresh green in summer, autumn leaves in autumn and drizzle in winter. From here, the Unsen Ropeway arrives and arrives, and a 36-seater two-car gondola runs between Nita Pass and Myōmi-dake, with an elevation difference of about 174m, at intervals of 8-15 minutes. Unzen Hell

A place where white smoke rises from among the large and small rocks and the smell of sulfur drifts into the Unzen Hell, which also became the stage of the Christian martyrdom. In the early Meiji era, there are about 30 kinds of hell, such as the thread hell, which is said to have been blown out along with the execution of the thread, and the large shriek hell [daikyokyokanjigoku], where a heat spring near 100 degrees and water vapor springs.

Mount Yunsen

It is located in the central part of the Shimabara Peninsula, a double-type volcano whose main peak is Mount Fuken at an altitude of 1359m. At the foot of the mountain, Unsen Hot Spring, which is also popular with foreign tourists, springs. The mountain beauty is shown in each of the four seasons, such as azalea clusters such as Miyama Kirishima, which blossoms in May, and drizzle ice from December to February. Autumn foliage is also beautiful, with the maples, Japanese maples, Japanese maples, and rowan dyeing red on the mountain's slopes.

Primeval Swamp

A small high-rise moor (natural monument), with one of the few in Kyushu. A path of about 1km leading from here to the Baiyun Pond is a nature observation road. A promenade is also maintained around the Baiyun Pond, allowing boating and camping.

It has the longest foot bath in Japan, with a total length of 105m after the source 105 degrees of Obama Onsen. Steaming pot is popular here as a pleasure unique to a hot spring resort. A steaming pot using the heat of the hot spring is installed, and if you bring the ingredients, you can use it freely for free. The loan basket is 200 yen for 30 minutes each time.

Ryokan Kōzaki

At the inn kokuzaki in Obama Onsen, they are accepting day baths. Available is a single-sex public bath with the honor of the hot springs of the kake-sashi. The use of three hot water baths, a stone, a cypress and an open-air bath, is also possible if it is empty. The charm of the Shimabara Peninsula abound in the feature cuisine, which is aimed at local consumption.
