Railway History Park in SAIJO

Sightseeing and exchange area of Saijo City adjacent to JR Iyo-Saijo Station. Shishiyama SA [Up]

It is one of the largest in Shikoku, and the most popular of the 24-hour "Magodan-an" is "Ishiki Tengudake Ramen". Shishiyama SA [Descent]

SA, which boasts an assortment of specialty products, such as specialty products limited to the region and producers, original products only in the Ishiyama service area, and local cuisine. "Ehime snapper no yukke bowl" and "Ehime's thick snapper miso ramen" are recommended menus. "Fruit Marche", which is based on the concept of "Highway Marche where the body is pleased", sells good-quality fruits and processed products harvested in the area.

Saijo City Citizen's Forest

At an altitude of 197m, there is a walking course and an archaeological history hall where you can enjoy the nature of the four seasons, and there is a citizen's forest on the eastern slope. About 700 plum trees of 20 species are planted in the plum forest garden of the citizen's forest, and a variety of plum blossoms can be enjoyed from late January to early March.

Usodokyo Mountain Kichijoji

It is said that Hiroho Taishi discovered the glowing cypress, and instantly carved Bisha Meiten with a single sword to create the temple. The only place in the eighty-eight places is Bisha Meiten. It is said that a wish will come true when a cane is passed through a hole in the village of the stone in the precinct. Six gods are enshrined in the Hakkakudo.

Previous God Temple

It was erected by Emperor Kanmu's Imperial Court, Shikoku Reiba No. 64. It was the Bonto-ji temple of Mount Shōnen until the Shinto-Buddhist separation policy. The precincts are wide, and are dotted with Daishido, Toshido, Yakushido and Hondo. It now serves as the head temple of the Shingon sect, and is visited by numerous worshipers as the main temple of Shugendō.

Hōanji Temple

It was founded by the order of Prince Shōtoku, and is the oldest in Ehime Prefecture in a nationally designated historic site. In addition, there is a set of old tiles of Osaka and Shitennoji style Shichido gado. The original pink color button that blooms from mid-April to late April is stunning, and is famous as a temple of thousand buttons. The flowering period of the button is lit up from around 18:30.

Nishiyama Koryu Temple

The famous temple of Tōyo Suiichi, which began when Kuuhachi-jōjin formed a hermitage during the year of the Elder (717-24), and became Tenganji in the time of Emperor Kanmu. The main hall was erected in the first year of Munchu 4-Eiwa (1375), with a single-layer copper plate roof between the front five and the side six. It drifts above the stone wall, along with the palace and the triple tower, and the style of the great temple. The main temple, the copper bell, and the Hōyō Intō are important cultural objects.

Xiangxiang Temple

From the end of April to the beginning of May, a natural monument designated by Ehime Prefecture, a Fuji flower that is about 400 years old, is blooming and proud of the precincts, and is known as the Fuji of the Kannon-do.

Sendan Mountain Garden Temple

It was erected by Prince Shōtoku, wishing for Emperor Yomei's illness. Hiroho Daishi conveyed to the temple the four swearing and the secret method of Anzai, child-rearing, and the woman-in-law, to the temple, making it a sacred place. He is known as "the great master of Koyasu." there is the main hall and the Daishi-dō on the second floor of the cathedral.
