玉若酢命神社の宮司を代々務める億岐家に伝わる貴重な品々を展示している。律令時代、地方の官吏が中央に出仕する際に使った駅鈴(人馬を徴用するときの身分証明、重要文化財)は、現存する唯一のものである。これを納める唐櫃[からひつ]、隠岐国正倉や屯倉の存在を示す奈良時代の倉印も国の重要文化財だ。また、隣接する茅葺きの億岐家住宅(重要文化財)は享和元年(1801)建築。今も億岐家の住まいのため見学は外観のみ。

隠岐国の総社で、『延喜式』にも記載された古社。木立の中にたたずむ本殿(重要文化財)は、隠岐造とよばれる独特の様式だ。現在のものは寛政5年(1793)建築。茅葺きのどっしりした随神門[ずいしんもん](重要文化財)や、樹齢千数百年といわれる八百杉[やおすぎ](天然記念物)も見ておきたい。

It is a gentle grass mountain at an altitude of 325m, and its name is given because the mountain surface is red. It is an observation site on Chiu-ri Island, and a 360-degree view is available from the observation deck set up at the summit, not only the entire island of the Oki Islands, but also the mainland on a clear day. In late April-early May, the whole mountain is dyed pale purple.

On the southwestern part of Chigosato Island, a cliff-edge that continues between about 1km from Tategasaki to Obigasaki. It is designated as a national famous and natural monument. It has a height of 50-200m, and is a large rock wall with colorful patterns such as red, yellow, black, and white in basalt and tuff. Potholes and sea grooves can be seen by sea eating. The observation point of the red wall is the viewing point, the wall where the color changes with the time of day is beautiful, and the time of day when the shade of the rock face further increases in the sunset.

Shops such as fresh fish and homemade dried fish. There is a dining space next to the store. Popular is squid sashimi, 700 yen each for dried white sulume overnight and 1300 yen for a set meal with a cooked ababi.

There are two courses, such as the course that leaves the port of Urago and heads to the Kokga coast via the Funabiki Canal. The cliffs you see nearby are impressive. If you are calm, you can also visit caves such as rock houses in the light and dark. I'm looking forward to your guide's name.

The 12m wide, 335m extended canal, which opened the Funakoshi Isthmus, which is roughly the center of Nishinoshima, and connects the inland sea with the open sea in a straight line; the opening of the city of Taisho 4 (1915); and the traffic of fishing boats and pleasure boats.

元弘2年(1332)、隠岐に流された後醍醐天皇が1年余りを過ごしたのが隠岐西ノ島の黒木御所跡行在所(黒木御所)。別府港を望む天皇山と呼ばれる小高い丘の頂にあり、敷地内に後醍醐天皇を祀った黒木神社と共にあるのが天皇にまつわる資料や絵画を展示している碧風館。後醍醐天皇画像や天皇の守本尊毘沙門天絵像など、興味深いものがある。

国賀のバス停から海辺のピクニックスポットを経て、断崖の上の牧草地へ。見渡すかぎりの草の丘を、通天橋を見ながら上り、そそり立つ摩天崖頂上まで片道約1時間。途中、草をはむ牛や馬の姿が見られる。
