Akao Observatory

It is located at the end of a road called the Akao Skyline. The scenery of the Kukaga Coast, the Tenjo World, and the Tsuten Bridge are spread under your eyes.

The Black Tree Ruins

It is located on a hill called the Mount of Tianzhong in the east of Hengfu. In Motohiro 2 (1332), it is reported that Emperor Go-Daigo [Godaigo], who had failed to fall and was distributed to Oki, made it his residence for about a year. Up the hill from Kuroki Shrine, which celebrates the Emperor, a monument to the ruins of the Imperial Palace stands on a small flat ground.

Yura Hibi Goddess Company

It is an old shrine that can also be seen in "Enki-shiki" and gathers faith as a guardian deity of maritime safety. The beach where the shrine stands is known to be crowded with squid hordes, and the precincts are decorated with squid objects. The annual festival, which is held every other year on the last Saturday and Sunday of July, is Oki's best ship festival, where Shinko's ship travels around the sea.

Fire shrine

A shrine that stands on the middle-south side of Nishinoshima, with the three islands of Shimmae as Mount Sōwa, and the highest peak of the island, at an altitude of 452m. It is transmitted with the mid-Heian period Shōjō. The shrine (important cultural property) is a peculiar structure that is half-built into a rock cave, and is said to be the oldest surviving Oki shrine building. He is believed to be the god of maritime security because of the legend that the Emperor Go-Toba saved him by releasing a divine fire when he was in distress on the way to Oki.

Tongtian Bridge

A rock formation on the Kukaga coast known as the symbolic scenic spot of Oki, where the cavity in the middle part of the rock was gored by sea-corrosion action.

Kukaga Coast

A dynamic scenic spot representing Nishinoshima. It is overwhelmed by the powerful sculptural beauty of nature, such as the arch-shaped Tsutenkyo Bridge and the Mattengai Cliffs, and the light and dark rocks of natural caves. Not to mention the search from the land where you can see the warm grazing of cowhorses, the masterpieces of nature that you can see from the sea on a tour boat that takes you around each spot are wonderful.

Jingyu Kaido Kinnyamonya Center

The complex, which includes the Amimachi Tourism Association and a produce direct sale shop, as well as a restaurant. The specialty sales shop "Shimanja Common Sense Store" includes retort-type Sazae curry, flavored salts such as the fish salt and sanshō salt, and the island's herbal tea, such as the Fukushima tea. There is also a fresh fish shop directly operated by the Fishing Co-op, which has fresh fish that were washed up on the day.

Underwater Sightseeing Boat Amanbo

It is a semi-submersible white ship that travels around the Saburoiwa area. From the ground level of the glass-walled ship, you can observe the clear seabed. I want to enjoy a 50-minute underwater walk while watching the fish swim. You can see the Meishatsu and Saburoiwa up close.
