Watch Hall Treasures

It is located in the Omi Shrine and has about 100 of its collection of approximately 2300 items centered on the Japanese clock on permanent display. It is a work from the late Edo period, and the only one extant in its complete form is a must. Otsu Lake Shore Nagisa Park

Omi-Hunan Alps Natural Rest Forest

Located in the southern part of Shiga Prefecture, it is one of the "Japan Beautiful Forest Recommendation National Forest" selected by the Forestry Agency. It is a vast forest of about 11.37 million square meters, including mountains known as the "Hunan Alps", such as Mount Ryūō and Mount Jikikyō, and Tenguiwa, a landscape with unique rock masses. There are also places to see such as the Komasaka Cliff Buddha, the Dutch dam, and the 30m head of the Okeke Falls. You can fully enjoy forest recreation such as fresh green, autumn leaves, nature observation and forest bathing. There are mountain trails and hiking trails for beginners to intermediates, so I want to use them according to my age and purpose.

Mount Hiei Driveway Dream Hill

Mount Hiei Driveway An observation resting place located about 2km from the Tanoya Pass Gate. Chongfu Temple Site

Standing Tree

Tateki Kannon is located in the deer jump valley of the Seta River, which only flows out of Lake Biwa. 1,200 years ago, during a bad year when Hiroho Daishi was 42 years old, a glowing spirit tree was found on the mountain, and the Shō Kansei Ongesvara was carved and opened to match the height of the master as a standing tree. Since then, Tatsuki Kannon has been widely called "Tatsuki-san" as a spiritual spiritual personality that can be handed over from all kinds of disasters, such as evil protection, fulfillment, sickness healing, and safety in the house, regardless of gender. Takebe Taisha

源頼朝が源氏の再興を祈願したといわれる古社。毎年8月17日には、大津三大祭の一つ、船幸祭が行われる。

幻住庵

元禄3年(1690)、芭蕉が約4カ月間を過ごした庵。俳文の傑作『幻住庵の記[げんじゅうあんのき]』は、芭蕉が湖南を見下ろす国分山山中に位置するこの庵で書いたもの。現在、近津尾[ちかつお]神社境内の庵跡地には平成3年(1991)に再建された庵と句碑が残る。

Omi Shrine

大津京を開いた天智天皇を祭神とし、大津京跡隣接地に鎮座。約20万平方mの境内には、朱塗りの楼門のほか、昭和造や近江造と称される拝殿、本殿が立ち並ぶ。また楼門を入った左手には、漏刻[ろうこく](水時計)を設けて初めて時刻制度を確立した天智天皇にちなんで造られた、時計館宝物館や、漏刻、日時計などもある。百人一首かるた名人戦などかるたの聖地としても知られる。建物の多くは登録有形文化財に指定されている。天智天皇が困難な中で日本の運命を開いていかれたことから、開運の神と崇敬されている。

Iwama Temple
